My suggestion:

LIFE 5
MOVE 6
RANGE 1
ATTACK 8
DEFENSE 5
POINTS 400

ADAPTIVE RESISTANCE
5
Doomsday receives one extra defense die for each Wound Marker he has, up to a maximum of 5 extra defense dice for Adaptive Resistance.

EVOLUTIONARY REGENERATION
At the start of each of your turns after after Doomsday has been destroyed, roll the 20-sided die. If you roll a 16 or higher, immediately place Doomsday on any space adjacent to any of your opponents' figures, remove all Wound Markers on Doomsday's card and place an experience marker on this card. Subtract 1 from your roll for each experience marker on this card. You may roll 1 addional defense die for each experience marker on this card.

I would've liked to see Doomsday's life increase with each experience marker also, but I'm not sure there's an elegant way of stating that on a card.

Why not just bring his attack and defense down to 5 and let the Purple Markers boost them both?

And scrap Adaptive Resistance? I'm trying to avoid the combination of a decently high starting defense and defensive bonuses from two different places. I think the defensive bonus from Adaptive Resistance is powerful enough - especially with a high life/defense combo starting out and a resurrection ability.

I do worry card space will be an issue, though.

That is looking good Bats. I think that we can lose the limit of 5 on the Adaptive Resistance as his life number is a built in limiting factor. I'm cool with the Regen being tied to a d20 roll and I like that the XP marker is both a positive (stronger) and a negative (harder to come back).

Did you impose the 3 XP marker limit so that Doomsday never regens himself out of the match?

That one was all Balantai - and good stuff for sure. I just swapped defense for offense.

Actually, it was so he wouldn't have higher than a base attack of 10, but not regenerating himself out of the match is nice too!

Defense of 5 + 3 Markers + 5 defense is the most he will be able to wield, and that is going to be somewhat difficult to accomplish since it is his best case scenario. I don't think 13 is too crazy powerful, considering Superman basically rolls 10.5 defense dice all the time. Maybe we could cap his Adaption power at +4 for defense giving him a total of 12 in a best case scenario???

I just don't see the purpose in both powers essentially doing the same thing - adding to his defense. Instead of piling on to one stat so much like that, what's wrong with adding to his attack with the regeneration power like what I posted?
