Alright, after talking it over for the past few days, the judges of the BoV have decided to change a few of our terrain restrictions. They are effective immediately and are as follows:

1. The Marvel Warehouse Ruin is no longer banned.
The entire structure must be fully assembled, but mapmakers are free to use it as they see fit.

2. The Marvel Master set will be treated like the D&D set for the purposes of allowed expansions.
This allows the Marvel set to be used as both a master set and a terrain expansion in the same build.

3. The special restriction of the Fortress of the Archkyrie set will be removed.
Builders can now use two FotA sets in a build.

We'll work on getting the first post updated as soon as possible.

Thanks very much, judges past and present, for allowing us all to ruin your weekend with the overdose of blather-posts we've so recently heaped upon you. As always, many of us are thankful for all the work you continue to put into this project. I need to go back and reread several; there was much advocacy from several different angles.

I don't think so. The only construction ban that has been changed was the one regarding the Marvel Wall. The other 2 changes are merely material related ones.

Yes. You are now permitted to use uncapped pillars when you build a map. In fact, there never was such a ban.

Completely unrelated to your question, but of possible interest to you, the BoV guidelines continue to only allow builds that follow the official rules. So maps with uncapped pillars will not be reviewed.

From my understanding, no. Basically, it's being treated the same as any other set, such as the VW. What that means is that you can use two in the same map.
