I attempted to give a user neg-rep earlier this week...one who was apparently under the influence...and I accidentally plus-repped said user. Doh.

Would it be possible to add a button that allows you to upload images right from your desktop? I think that'd be easier in some scenarios such as battle reports, rather than having to first upload them all to a host website and copying the link.

I thought we already had that feature? Isn't that what Attach Files does? I attached a picture from my game with dok today to this post.

Site supporters can certainly use the gallery (kolakoski uses it quite prolifically)

Experiment #2 attaching a picture, linking it inline (like I did above) and then removing the attachment from the post to see if the server keeps it alive.

Edit: bingo. Now I just need @Xorlof to tell me if those attachments that have been disconnected from a post are kept alive by the server indefinitely. Does it do any kind of refcount on usages? Or move them to a temp directory to be eventually cleaned up? None of the above?

It is my understanding of this function that it is to prevent frequent reping of the same individual, to keep from 'cheating' so to speak.

I have been inactive for a number of months now, and have returned to find some outstanding posts deserving of rep. Unfortunately, before I left, I had evidently reped this individual within my last 15 boons.

My suggestion would be that perhaps a timer could be installed in addition to the standard already set? For instance, instead of having to rep 15 other people before hitting the same individual again, perhaps it could be 15 other people or one month's time? It just seems a bit unnecessary to restrict who I may rep when there would be a much easier method to bypass the system than to wait 3 months before reping the same individual.

Based on the absence of a picture from this post, I'm going to assume attachments that are removed from a post get cleaned up by the server eventually.

I would love for this feature to be removed or changed. I think the community as a whole is mature enough to be trusted with the rep limits lifted. I think any "problems" in this area that might arise would probably be corrected by the community. If it comes out that someone is abusing the no limits rep system, a few of the heavy hitters making use of limitless negative rep would play a much bigger, more powerful correction. Sure keep the X number of reps per day, but I say drop the other limits.

Or just reduce the number from 15 to 10 or something. Fifteen does seem high, if that's right.
