I would say Avalanche is not affected by his SA and that is likely the intent. Arnim Zola is unclear. An FAQ works, but if it's just 2-3 cases where the wording needs changed, why not just make it more clear in the text?

Especially when the one shouldn't affect the occupied space, and the others seem like they should

Sounds like we're all in agreement on updating text. I've updated the SP here, but someone will need to get Fear Gas and a ruling on Arnim Zola.

This was an @Flame Gryphon card, and he's not terribly active. @japes @A3n , is this one on the server, or does it need recreated?

Fwiw, there are probably more places we need to look at wording for this type of thing. I stopped after the first two that seemed worth discussing.

I'm personally cool with Zola affecting a glyph he occupies. The text doesn't let you right now, though, IMO, so it'd have to be changed.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
