Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Gambit I
Not sure if re-evals are done for weak units or not, but if so I always thought he was a great candidate

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Gambit I
Out of curiosity, to try to understand a differing opinion, what about it is good?
I guess that's not fair. The skull doubling makes it stronger than it might be otherwise. I think I actually skimmed over that part when looking at it for my comments. So he's probably about 170ish in value. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Gambit I
You have a 50% chance of getting 2 skulls. That's not bad. Not to mention you get to do that 5 times in a single turn, AND you could lose a few of those attacks for a hail mary shot at 4 skulls if you want. Lots of options.
It's not game breaking, but it's a solid SA. |

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Gambit I
He'd be pretty good with Red Skull II I'd think.
His SA is a gamble, but I think it's still decent. Hes still probably a bit over costed. But certainly not 90 points so. I've barely ever used him since I hate that Disengage plus Staff Valut mean he just randomly hops around a bit each turn. Tis just silly. Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Gambit I
I like the SA(which is why I re-used the mechanics on D'Vorah). The rest of the card is where it feels a bit eh. 150-160 feels like a more appropriate cost when you compare him to others in the 140-160 point range that would likely be more competitive picks.
As-is, 2/D+ just based on costing really. |

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Banshee
So.... Look at this guy compared to Gambit.
Banshee is solid, flying and a good SA, and the super speed to grab high ground so your opponents can't. Nice figure. |

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Banshee
Yeah, he's decent. The scream is a nice one though mostly an anti-squad power, which isn't that strong in the meta. His speed is nice, but 4 Life, 5 Defense without any defensive powers doesn't give him much staying power. He's probably best equipped as a second/third wave option in a Mutant army where he can speed up to the front lines when your front line troops have fallen.
3/B- C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Banshee
Oh, I also upgraded my rating of Gambit to C- in the compiled rankings because I wasn't giving his special attack enough credit.
