Yes dad, I was fair this time , kept it to a PM and didn't tell him it was a crappy test. I just wanted him to know that it was a disappointing effort and that if he isn't going to put forth the effort for a test, he shouldn't sign up for it. I think that is fair to ask and if it scares him off then I'm sorry, but I'm not going to beg anyone to do a respectable test.

Lately when I pm the info to people I've been specifically asking for one 600ish point test and one 1000ish point test. Doesn't cure all ailments, but it's produced good results thus far.

That said, I think the biggest problem here is that ZJ is a quality, experienced playtester and we want to see what kind of value he gets out of Mockingbird, but both tests had Mockingbird in the hands of his brother, who's a completely unknown variable (I have no idea if his brother is an experienced player or a qualified playtester at all).

Still, his resulting feelings seem to be close to what yours were in the initial, Hahma, which is that Mockingbird is maybe coming in just slightly on the high side.

I was bummed by the effort, but have corresponded via PM and he explained that he had family stuff going on this weekend and wasn't going to be able to work on it then so he wanted to get it in. He told me that if I wanted, he could do more testing after the weekend. I told him that would be fine if he just wanted to do 1 800 point test. I also told him that I would rather have had him wait until he had the time to do it rather than rush it. I told him that I'm not one to try to rush people about playtests, but I appreciate if they put some effort into them, which is more important than speed.

Pass. The strategy shines here more than in most units. By moving very carefully, you can ambush a group of enemies by utilizing your normal move and Pole Vault.

Army Test
- Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes
- What should be the unit's point value? 130.
- Give a brief overview. Mockingbird didn’t do all that much wounds wise, but she played an important role in distracting Hulkbuster so that Hawkeye could eliminate Mk V, a huge threat. Her contributions made a difference, and Mocking Words helped her survive a turn longer.

Units: Mockingbird, Hawkeye, Nick Fury, Banshee, Dum Dum Dugan, and Mystique (1005) vs. Iron Man MkV, Iron Man MkIII, Iron Man Mk II, and Iron Man Hulkbuster (1010).

Nick Fury, Mockingbird, Dum Dum Dugan, and Mystique are the Helicarrier Drop Team. Banshee starts things off by using Sonic Flying to cover some ground, and Iron Man Mk V hides under the overhang. Iron Man Hulkbuster flies over to Banshee and bashes his face in, killing him in one hit. Hawkeye Grapple Arrows upwards, then shoots off-target at Hulkbuster. Mk V moves again, making sure to keep himself conceal. Hulkbuster moves towards Hawkeye, and, rolling a massive 8 skulls, bashes the puny human into the ground (or moon, in this case). Wait a moment, the Iron Men win…well, I guess that’s why you don’t leave only 2 figures on the field without the Drop Team with a Hulkbuster on the board…restarting

Same Drop Team, but this time they’ll drop immediately. Dum Dum moves first and shoots down at Iron Man Mk III for 3 wounds. Mk V jumps to the top section of the Base, and Pulse Bolts Dum Dum, missing. Hulkbuster pulls his shananagins yes again, and kills Dum Dum (why do they always whiff?). Mockingbird decides to shoot Hulkbuster and gets a wound in. Mk V flies over the top of Mystique and then Pulse Bolts her for a wound. Hulkbuster flies over to Mockingbird and gets 2 wounds in. Mockingbird doesn’t want to die to excess shields, so Hawkeye Grapples up to the top section and unfortunately whiffs. A nice Pulse Bolt from Mk V causes Hawkeye 2 wounds, and Hulkbuster misses Mockingbird, thanks to Mocking Words. Re-racking, Mk V Pulse Bolts Hawkeye again, but this time missing. Mocking Words fails the Bird this time, and Hulkbuster kills her. Hawkeye runs over to Mk V and wounds him, and he misses the return strike. Hulkbuster has no enemies to punish this turn, so Mk III moves. Hawkeye rolls good and kills Mk V, ending part of the torture. The new round brings an attack from Mk III, a special attack in fact, which wounds Mystique and pushes her back off of the top section of the map. Hawkeye moves, as does Hulkbuster. Hawkeye misses Mk III, and Hulkbuster gets at Nick for 3 wounds. Nick has nowhere to run, and whiffs. Hulkbuster best be celebrating the holidays with a few corpses, as he kills Nick Fury, bringing the casualty rate for him to 3. Next round, Mk III engages Hawkeye, but there’s no time for that leisure, as Banshee gets wounded from a failed attack on Hulkbuster, who surprisingly fails to retaliate. Hawkeye gets to Mk III, but Circuitry Reroute saves the day. Hulkbuster sends Banshee flying away into space with a powerful punch, and that ends the round. Hawkeye misses Mk III, who manages to kill Hawkeye with a lucky smack. Hulkbuster moves, then Mystique shoots 3 wounds off of Iron Man Mk II. Hulkbuster moves dangerously close, and at the start of the new round kills Mystique.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Team 2: Iron Man Hulkbuster w/ 1 wound, Iron Man Mk II w/ 3 wounds, and Iron Man Mk III w/ 3 wounds and Circuitry Rerouted.

Army Test
- Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes
- What should be the unit's point value? 130-150.
- Give a brief overview. I think Mockingbird might need a bump in cost by 10 or 20 points. In an Agent army (priority army), she performs extremely well, and skillful moving can result in lots of damage from Mockingbird. Pole Vault allows for the strategic movement tactics that also result in multiple attacks, and Mocking Words and Counterstrike let her get away with 4 lives. Her range is darn helpful as well.

Units: Mockingbird, Nick Fury, SHIELD Agents x2, Black Widow, and Gorilla-Man (880) vs. Doctor Doom (C3G), Moloid x6, and White Martian x3 (885).

Nick Fury and 3 SHIELD Agents are the Helicarrier Drop Team, and they’ll wait on the drop. Doctor Doom is the Moloids’ One Ruler. Black Widow uses Espionage to advance. Mockingbird moves first, then Pole Vaults. White Martian A moves and shoots Mockingbird for only 1 wound after a successful Mocking Words. Mockingbird uses the ladder for height and wounds Martian A. Martian B moves, and Black Widow moves also, shooting and killing Martian A using Poison Darts. Martian C moves and wounds Widow twice to end the round. The Drop Team lands, and Martian C engages and wounds Widow. Mockingbird engages Martian C, and some Agents Killbox Doctor Doom for a wound. Martian B misses Widow, and Mockingbird punches Martian C for 2 wounds. The Agents Killbox Doom again, still for only 1 wound. Doom flies up to some Agents and kills one with Mystic Power Drain, then all 6 Moloids move. An Agent miraculously kills Martian C, and another wounds Doom. Gaining a turn, an Agent wounds Doom again, and Martian B misses Widow. Widow wounds Martian B 3 times, and Doom somehow misses the Agent adjacent to him, and fails his Power Drain roll! Some Moloids swarm around an Agent, killing her, and the round ends. Mockingbird skillfully moves then Pole Vaults into the swarm of Moloids, and gets to attack all of them, killing 2 and the last White Martian. More Agents harass Doom and kill him. Mockingbird kills a Moloid with the spare turn, and some Agents finish off the Moloids for the win.

Who won and how many wounds did they have? Team 1: Mockingbird w/ 1 wound, Black Widow w/ 3 wounds, Gorilla-Man, Nick Fury, and 4/6 SHIELD Agents.

I don't really see why Scapey thinks she should get bumped up, she didn't really over perform here. The second test looked like the White Martians and Doom didn't really do much and if Mockingbird can jump into a crowd of squaddies and dish some damage, well the opponent shouldn't keep them bunched. Just like you wouldn't with DD or Beast.

Her Counterstrike can be bypassed by special attacks and range. Mocking Words only has a range of 3, so ranged units won't have a problem against her.
