MAP Bio - An interstellar space craft has crash landed on an unknown planet filled with danger and mystery. The planet's hazardous environment is the least of the survivors' worries, however, as the xenophobic locals don't take to kindly to unexpected "visitors" and will not stop until every one of them are dead.

I don't mean to sound like a jerk, it just comes naturally , but other than this map looking kinda cool, I don't think it would offer much interesting game play. the opposing armies are just gonna go to each others start zone in one turn and start rolling dice back and forth. At best, someone may get up on the lava wall every once in a while. I just don't personally see much potential in this map as is. Sorry, but I have to be honest. I wonder if this map would have to be a scenario map to make it interesting for game play. I just see a start zone smash em up, and that is it.

Probably. Maybe I should extend the map on the sides of the spaceship and have the two groups fighting over the crashed spaceship instead.

Some well placed glyphs might make it a bit more interesting in gameplay as well.

That'll certainly give the teams something to fight over! I could still see some glyphs included to make some of the low lands more desirable.

I like the look of the first design better. What if the starting zones were on the left and right of that ship, with the Hive/other movement blockers directly in front of the ship (that it crashed into) so you had to go all the way around to get to each other? Or over, if fliers/leapers want to risk the lava. A glyph at the far sandy point could give armies something interesting to fight over down there, in addition to just fighting over the high ground in the middle.

I also agree with Bats, glyphs would do wonders.

I prefer number two. Getting a real good "Luke on Degoba" feel from this one.
