Character Bio - Cissie King-Jones is the daughter of Bonnie King, the original Miss Arrowette. Bonnie dreamed of being as great a hero as Green Arrow after she couldn’t get more than a bronze medal in the olympics, but she never quite made it as a crime fighter either. She then forced her daughter into the hero business, putting her through strenuous training, which deteriorated their relationship. But she enjoyed the hero work and fought crime by herself for a time, even meeting some heroes like Max Mercury and Impulse, until a fateful night where she ran into Harm, who grievously injured her. She’s rescued by the newly-formed Young Justice, and eventually joins the team. She quickly becomes best friends with Wonder Girl and Robin, and is a very valued member of the team.
One day, her school counselor is murdered by an angry ex-lover, and Cissie is overcome with sadness and rage. She hunts down the killer, intending on lethal revenge, but Superboy stops the arrow before it hits its mark. Cissie is shaken by how far she crossed the line, and permanently retires her Arrowette persona. She stays close friends with the team, and eventually leads the United States Olympic archery team to victory, gaining a gold medal.
