Finally given in....
I have a friend that for the longest time would not try HeroScape. He was into a few games in the past, but would never try Scape.
That was until today(well yesterday because it's almost 1:30am now). Now he is already planning to play again tomorrow(well today because of the same reason as above). This was about two years in the works just to get him to sit down and play. The thing that did it was Marvel HeroScape, he saw the characters he knows and decided to give it a try. After a quick game on a small map he wanted more so we moved to classic Scape on a large map and now wants even more. so for all of you that have been working that friend that just keeps saying no there is hope. Thanks for the last and greatest betrayal, of the last and greatest of human dreams. -William S. Burroughs |

My friend has played, and prefers Marvel, but getting him to play is difficult. He always has an excuse. Finally he admitted that he isn't "good at strategy games". In other words, he doesn't want to fail.
I am not the best scaper by far. I don't get to play as often as many others. However, I have been getting better over time. Practice doesw make a difference. The point is, I keep on trying and refuse to give up, because I love this game. Even when I lose, I have fun doing it. Usually. I can't say that about some other games. __________ now playing: FireBomber Second Fire!! (Macross 7) |

Anyone that is bad at stratagy games off to give them more points. If you have to lose to get people tp play it is well worth it. I will never admit to their faces but have lost a game or a few to help the morale of players I play with. My wife is no good at stratagy games either but with a couple bad decisions on my part she won a few games and feels better and is willing to play. I have encouraged my brother in law to do the same as he has beaten my sister, who just started playing, like half a dozen times.
Do what ever it takes to get people playing the game. |

My sister says plays once every month or so. She says she wants to play then plays and quits. Marvelscape didn't work. Actually she wins sometimes.

every person that has come over and seen us play just laughed the game off as childish, but as soon as i am able to get them to sit down and play just one game they're hooked! and i myself havent thrown games to get their moral up.i have made stupid moves on purpose or "forgot" to use abilities up until they get to a point to where they think man, i almost had you this time. im just happy i have some people to play with.

I am wishing MarvelScape all the success in the world. Even if I hated the Marvelverse (and I don't) I would still want it to succeed for the simple fact that the more Scape stuff sells the longer the core product will be developed and sold.
MarvelScape success = more ClassicScape |
