Oh me as well, I was just adding my 2 cents that I do view historical as a defining part of Heroscape. Craig Van Ness has yet to lead me astray so I'm not worried about honesty or quality.

They did kind of just feel thrown in with the D&D waves in order to fill out squad packs. It'd be cool if they could come up with some fun mechanics/synergies instead of just "hey, you could have two or more of this otherwise unique hero if you wanted too....for some reason I guess."

Yeah I agree with that, it made powerful characters more feasible because since you could have multiple of the same thing you could design an army strategy around it. Harder to do with a single unique character

I agree with all of you as well. I remember when GB was asked about his opinion of uncommon heroes, he said there was no down side to them. Others have stated how cool the shadow tiles are, and I agree. But my favorite thing from BftU is the rock outcrops. They combine well with RttFF to make cool mountainous forest terrain.

There are some of the newer reveals make me think of Marro putting on some modern or sci fi armor/power armor. It might just be me seeing things in the concept art that isn't there, but I'm on board if it is.

They weren’t thrown in at all. Uncommon heroes had been discussed and developed by custom creators galore, for a long time before the D&D set. One of the things that WOTC wanted, were big chunky monsters that weren’t named and arrived in numbers. Uncommon heroes were the best answer.

This seems pretty cool!

I'll probably pick it up when it comes out. Would be very nice if this first offering were released in slightly smaller than master set but still substantial packages. Being able to sort of pick and choose which figures I want to get would be nice. They look neat, even if they'll be unpainted - like the looks of the pirates but might pass on these new-fangled Marro/soulborg/Borg types (but who knows). But if some cool figures were bundled with a decent amount of some new terrain, man, I'm really really beyond excited for that. The hexs have always been the coolest part of Heroscape to me.
