To balance him, IMO, I'd drop his range on his SA to 3 or 4, make it activated by the X OM and raise his attack to 4. Maybe drop by range one. It would make him a super agressive Q9, which I think would fit thematically for Valkrill.

Edit: to make him tricky to play, you could not allow him to use his special when he is engaged. Just a thought.

Mega, in your playtests does the Armoc Warlord perform better as a cheerleader or as a more offensive unit because of her special attack? Does she still do well against mor high defense squads like minions and does she dominate against low defense squads like Deathchasers?

Overall looks like a fun and interesting unit!

She actually does well either way. If you choose your attacks wisely, she can be good. However, if you're too aggressive, she falls easily. Best to keep her back and use another Ullar Warlord until you can attack with her and reinforce your position with Armoc Vipers. I've been on both ends of that, too good effect.

She will do better against low defense figures, since an attack of 2 is really not that effective most of the time for a melee figure, even with a multi-attack.

Very fun design. You mentioned that you still had to test with Death Knights and Protectors of Ullar; is she any good with Romans (for her Special Attack)? Oddly enough, a Warlord with a Special Attack does not yet exist. I can't see Armoc Warlord becoming a staple in Roman armies though; she's really only useful at clearing Rats, Gorillinators, and Ashra in that army (and low-defense melee squad figures, I suppose).

I bet Armocs x3 + Armoc Warlord + Protectors x2 is a decent "B" build for 495. Probably not too strong, but you could take down opposing heroes quickly and the Armocs would do decently against opposing squads. The Armocs and Protectors are both too weak already to become top tier, but it sure looks fun to play!

Oh, hadn't considered Romans. But I'm more concerned with the other two at the moment.

At the moment I really like playing Armoc Warlord, Zogross Hardscale, Armoc Vipers x4, Siiv. I'm not sure about the DK builds at the moment. Bengi mentioned before the exact build you said for PoU/AV mix.
