That is awesome. That small effort of his says a ton about his character. Congrats to getting a new son.
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those.

Thanks Japes! I told him that he was a grown man and could have done what he wanted with regard to proposing, but that I really appreciated him asking my blessing. Classy guy.

When you get rain in combination with the already bad driving in Austin you get a lot of wrecks...today I was a victim of one of these events. While sitting at a stoplight when a car came up fast and attempted to swerve around me when he realized too late that I was stopped. Unfortunately for all there was another car beside him and he glanced off him and slammed into me.

Fortunately at this point it doesn't look like there is any serious injuries, just a concussion for me and of course lots of auto damage. Man am I sore and they tell me it will be worse tomorrow
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those.

Hope all is good Japes.

I've been rear-ended by a truck while stopped at lights. I heard the squealing of his tyres braking & it really was like slow motion. It's scary in that moment when you review all your options & there is nothing you can do except brace yourself.

Knowing what I know of you...just that comment was enough for me to see where you were going and I laughed.
