Re: The Book of Small House (Public Testing)
Exactly as I see it, yes. Except that in our system now the blue X's to the front yard will take 4 move instead of the 3 it would take if we had interior play.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Small House (Public Testing)
Yeah, there was never much reason to go through the house to move from the side to the front as the doors are so close together already. It's really about moving from the back yard up to the front or side and vice versa.

Which, unless there's no other way through, there are only about two places where moving through saves you any spaces of movement, and then only one space each.

Re: The Book of Small House (Public Testing)
I cannot get that file and I would like to see what I can come up with here so sort of in limbo for now. I will try to work up something if it does not work out.
Probably going one Exit per door, center hex for front door. Will the interior play need to have Entrance/Exit spaces? If it is at all different, I think we could get away with different bases for Interior/Exterior play as you will need two different bases regardless (possibly). I ordered another set of these and the Apartment Building. Interested to see how they play on an open map and four Small Houses. |

Re: The Book of Small House (Public Testing)
So if we're done testing exterior only play, should we be voting for Final Editing? Unsure how you're intending to move forward with this given the split exterior/interior nature of your goals.
I assume interior play will use the same entrance/exit spaces, yes. I'm not sure why we can't use the same base for both. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Small House (Public Testing)
Yeah, interior play will drop the pass through aspect but you will still need to enter/exit through a door to a specific hex so the base shouldn't change at all.

Re: The Book of Small House (Public Testing)
So it would need the Exit/Entrance spaces designated inside the House correct?
So it would be different? Just trying to think a little ahead here because if indeed we need two different base maps, it may be worth tweaking the exterior base map. If indeed they can be the same then I just need to update the base map but I guess that is part of Final Editing? I removed this from Playtesting, so I do think we are good there. I just think we may be able to position the House better to make the Exits land in better locations but only if there will be two different bases. But I do need that psd. file to have any chance of actually doing that. |

Re: The Book of Small House (Public Testing)
I think you can mark the exit/entrance (door?) spaces on both the interior and the exterior of the single base we'll need and if you're only doing exterior play you just won't look at the door spaces in the interior (because you won't be looking at the interior).

Re: The Book of Small House (Public Testing)
New base map is too big to upload to the Gallery for some reason.
You can get it in Downloads here. Let me know if that works for both Interior and Exterior play. Is there a way to post larger pictures? Do I need to upload to something like Imugr? |
