Re: The Book of Binary - Breathing
Thanks Bats! Binary is Danver's strongest form, so I'm probably gonna start with her at 380? I can boost her wherever feels necessary if she's weak in the initial.

I think Pirates are already a pretty fun faction, so would always be down to see more of them! |

Re: The Book of Binary - Breathing
I'd probably boost her special attack and defense a tad if you want her stronger.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Binary - Breathing
Sounds like a plan. I'll get checklists up soon.
Gonna go with Contemplative for the personality. |

Re: The Book of Binary - Breathing
Think we could get her to 370? That pairs nicely with Corsair, Ch'od, Hepzibah, and Raza for an even 1,100. (I like Korvus a lot as a design, but it's always felt a bit odd that this more modern character is basically required for classic Starjammer builds.)
I know she's more powerful in this form than in her Captain Marvel form, but our Captain Marvel design is factoring in her leadership chops as well. |

Re: The Book of Binary - Breathing
Love the SA, pretty fun mechanics there.
I worry a bit about her other power giving her healing, especially against friendly figures. I see it's a reuse, but drafting some Civilians just to mob-attack her for healing once she's taken a few wounds seems like a really solid strategy. Also she might shred lower powered/costed heroes with her healing/counter. Just keep an eye on her. |

Yeah the only other design with the power is Vulcan, who isn't exactly defining the meta. I can see it being a pretty cheap tactic, so I'll make sure to try it in a game. |

Re: The Book of Binary - Breathing
Vulcan basically sucks since that's essentially his ONLY power. Binary here has a decently sick Special Attack as well and no negative powers. So realistically she's just better than him already.

Re: The Book of Binary - Breathing
Oh wow yeah, she really blows Vulcan out of the water, doesn’t she?

Re: The Book of Binary - Breathing
Honestly I've played Vulcan a few times in tourneys and like... he isnt *that* bad. So I like.... having Binary be cheaper than him when she's basically straight up upgrade feels questionable.

Re: The Book of Binary - Breathing
Yeah she does, but I think 'better than Vulcan' is a pretty low bar to clear.
Being a Mutant gives him a way better synergy pool then she'll probably ever have, so he's got that going for him. He's probably overcosted by like, 50 points or something though, if I had to guess. |

Re: The Book of Binary - Breathing
Being a Mutant largely doesn't matter for him since his negative power kills any turn bonding they give.

Re: The Book of Binary - Breathing
I was thinking you could move OMs off of Vulcan with like, Sage or something, but the first line in the power prevents that.
He's got Mutant Sidekicks, at least. |
