So I think the reason why I never glued on the top shelf of mine is I was not sure what I wanted to do with the back board. After playing on them it is obvious that needs to be open.
Are you happy with the corner solution Bats? Did Spidey suggest using wood instead?

I need to get that set up so I can mock it up and figure out a layout map.
Will this need a base map that it sits on as well? That way require four sheets of paper.

I always wanted to get around to working out a crafty way to make this sort of fire escape once we have settled on the buildings of C3G.

Mine have held up just fine for two years now with just the cardboard pieces in the corners, including through two seven and a half hour car rides, months of use as storage, half a dozen games, and Yodaking leaning on the one. So I guess if you want to go the extra mile of figuring out some wood thing you can, but I don't personally see the need.

I will try to get up a picture of the layout needed for the interior tonight.

I'm undecided on a base. I think it'd be nice if it wasn't needed, but I know it could be challenging to line it up at times, so it might be helpful. Ideally it'd be pretty trim if we had one.

I also am not sure it wouldn't slide around on one, though, so I'm unsure how helpful a base would really be. And we can't glue it down on one if we want to stay modular.

@Yodaking and @Spidey'tilIDie and @tcglkn were managing its placement a lot. What do you guys think in terms of making a base for it?

Yes, absolutely. I plan to type those up tonight still (and get A3n some Small House measurements).

what if the base was a shroud type thing. Just goes around the outside with a hole in it that the shelves sit in? Just a thought, no idea if practical or offers anything to the game or building.

C3G STACKABLE SKYSCRAPER RULES

C3G stackable Skyscrapers are enclosed structures. Skyscraper walls are considered obstacles and Skyscraper floors are considered Interior terrain and are specifically called Floor spaces. However, any figure that can pass through an obstacle may pass through any Interior terrain as if it were an obstacle.

The stackable Skyscrapers have four sides and are usable for exterior and interior play. Each Skyscraper has two open, playable sides, and two solid sides.

Even though the two playable sides are open for access to the interior for figure movement, all four sides are considered to have “walls” in front of them. As such, figures occupying the interior of the building do not have clear sight on figures outside the building and vice versa. In addition, a figure occupying the interior of the building is never engaged with a figure outside the building unless otherwise specified.

Each individual stackable structure is considered one Skyscraper Unit. These Units can be combined by stacking them two or more high, or they can be played individually, as single Unit high buildings. Each Skyscraper Unit is two Floors high. Figures can traverse between Floors of a Skyscraper via stairways and elevators. The rules for these are covered below.

INTERIOR LAYOUTS

Each Floor’s interior layout features a hex pattern of whole hexes and partial hexes. Per C3G building rules, half hexes can be passed through normally, but not occupied. If a figure would be forced to stop its movement in a half hex, it must instead stop its movement in the previous space it occupied. If there is a portion of the interior that has neither half hexes nor whole hexes, figures cannot enter or occupy it.

STAIRWAYS

Stairway Hexes come in two versions: Single Hex Stairways and Double Hex Stairways, and may be placed in the interior layouts of a building to allow single-spaced figures to move between levels. Stairway hexes use C3G Transit rules and each come with a Transit number and then an “Up” or “Down” distinction.

Only single-spaced figures can enter or occupy Stairway hexes. A figure can move from a Stairway Up space to a corresponding Stairway Down space one Floor higher at a movement cost equal to the transit number. Conversely, a figure can move from a Stairway Down space to a corresponding Stairway Up space one Floor lower at a movement cost equal to the transit number. In the stackable Skyscraper, all Stairway hexes have a Transit Number of 3.

Figures can move between Stairway hexes on the same level normally.
Figures are not considered engaged with figures on corresponding Stairway hexes on a different Floor of the building, but these figures do consider each other in clear line of sight, unless a special power on an Army Card or a glyph specifies otherwise. Height advantage applies.

ELEVATORS

During set up, players may place Elevator Shaft spaces at the same place on corresponding Floors of the building to create an Elevator Shaft. Only Elevator Car Vehicle Destructible Objects can enter or occupy Elevator Shaft spaces.

Each Elevator Shaft should start with an empty Elevator Car occupying its Elevator Shaft spaces on the bottom floor of its Skyscraper.

DOORWAYS AND WINDOWS

On each of its playable wall sides, each Floor of a Skyscraper features three half hex spaces, which are used for windows and doorways. A typical Skyscraper will only have doorways on the ground level, and these are marked by the full one hex Doorway marker, which covers that half hex and extends into the half hex in front of it at the Skyscraper’s base.

Any half hex on the edge of the playable wall side of a Skyscraper without one of these Doorway markers in it is considered a window space. Rules for Doorways and Windows are covered below.

DOORWAYS

Doorway spaces can be moved through normally. Figures cannot trace clear sight through a doorway space.

WINDOWS

Spoiler Alert!

Figures normally cannot move through window spaces or trace clear sight through window spaces. However, this changes if those become broken window spaces.

Instead of making a single attack, a player may choose for their figure to break a window. To break a window, choose a window space for a window that has not been previously broken and that is within range of the attack that figure is forgoing.

If an object, obstacle, figure, or the building itself would block clear sight on a figure located in that window space, that window space may not be chosen.

Once a window space has been chosen, place a wound marker on it. Any window space with a wound marker on it is considered broken. Figures can trace clear sight through a broken window space and can move through a broken window space normally.

ELEVATOR OPERATION
The Elevator Car can only move on and occupy elevator shaft spaces. When moving with the Elevator Car, you may move it onto elevator shaft spaces directly above or below it at a cost of one movement space per floor. If the Elevator Car’s Driver space is not occupied, then instead of moving a figure you control that is adjacent to any Elevator Shaft space for that Elevator Car, you may move the Elevator Car.

BROKEN DOWN
If the Elevator Car has two or more wounds, it cannot move.

PLUMMETING ELEVATOR
If the Elevator Car would be destroyed, instead of removing it from the battlefield, place it on empty elevator shaft spaces on the lowest possible floor of its elevator shaft. The Elevator Car cannot move for the remainder of the game. Any figure occupying the Elevator Car immediately rolls for any falling damage that would apply and, if they are not destroyed, must be placed on Floor spaces within one space of the Elevator Car and on the same Floor.

That's a good idea. It would help it sit in there more reliably. I think we should probably at least try something like that out as the shelves can be a pain to properly align.
