Re: The Book of the Hostage Holdout Scenario
There may be a comparison there, under all her dirt grime she was a princess

Re: The Book of the Hostage Holdout Scenario
Man, lots of new stuff for me in the User CP, but mostly juvenile crap.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of the Hostage Holdout Scenario
Just had to post a thank you here.
My son and I recently played this scenario through and had a blast. I added Batman, Robin, Alfred and he added Penguin, Two-Face, Catwoman, Riddler. It was a tight game--hard to keep those silly Civilians alive--but once the Dynamic Duo moved in, things were looking good. (Until Catwoman dropped down the side of the building and snuck around to finish off my civilians before I could get Batman and Robin out of the building and over to her.) It was close, thematic, and even though I lost I had a blast. It was great seeing my son pull the wool over my eyes and sneak Catwoman out, while I ravaged his Thugs and Crime Lords--all for nothing... It was a smart, fun win for him. Thanks for putting this together; very fun . New? Read this. | The INDEX 2.0 | Mmirg's Maps Magnify Your Scape: BoV | SoV | C3V (Playtest!) | C3G The Dice Tower Con w/ Scape! |

Re: The Book of the Hostage Holdout Scenario
I'm going to try this scenario in a few days with 4 players 2 vs 2. Looking at doing 720 point armies (one guy wants to run a Predator x3 army, that way it's 720).
Should I add another squad of Civilians and more rounds to make it work? Or leave it as is? Any chance this works or will the increased point total break the scenario? Any input would be great. |

Re: The Book of the Hostage Holdout Scenario
I do not think I have ever looked at this before now. Nice.
Reading through the special rules it sounds like if the Civs never attack, it will take a minimum of nine rounds to destroy all the Civs, so adding more would make it nearly impossible to win through that route and makes it simply a kill each other scenario. I think you are just going to have to give it a whirl. After the first game you will know if you need to tweak it. Sounds fun. Really interested to hear how that Predator army turns out. |

Re: The Book of the Hostage Holdout Scenario
I'll post a battle report after, we'll probably run 2 games with a few different teams.

Re: The Book of the Hostage Holdout Scenario
Cool.
Theoretically the extra points on each side should balance things out. Hard to say. There was was probably 600 less designs when this scenario was released. |

Re: The Book of the Hostage Holdout Scenario
Eh, more like 550 less, but who is counting.
Semi-Retired C3G Hero (and first Official Member of the C3G Target Audience!) The correct way to add C3G playtests to posts. My favorite day EVER on heroscapers.
