Character Bio - The creature referred to as the Black Flash is an entity created by the Speed Force to function as an antibody against anything that might harm it. It also functions as the "grim reaper" of Speed Force conduits, appearing before speedsters when it is their time to die and become one with the Speed Force.

SPEED REAPER
At the start of the game, choose a figure to be Black Flash's Quarry. When choosing Black Flash's Quarry, you must choose an enemy Unique or Event Hero on the battlefield with the highest Move number listed on its card. When its Quarry is destroyed, remove 1 Wound Marker from this card, and choose another figure to be Black Flash's Quarry.

TRY TO OUTRUN DEATH
Immediately after the opponent who controls Black Flash's Quarry finishes their player turn, you may move Black Flash up to 4 spaces. Whenever Black Flash ends its movement adjacent to its Quarry, roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 11 or higher, its Quarry receives one wound.

SUPERSPEED
Black Flash may move through all figures, never takes leaving engagement attacks, and does not have to stop its movement when entering water spaces. After taking a turn with Black Flash, if it did not use its Try To Outrun Death special power this turn, it may move up to an additional 4 spaces.

Looking at this again, I think it's at a solid place where it feels different enough from other auto-move types.

I'm not a big fan of Superspeed progressively diverging into increasingly different powers pretending to be one power, but the die is already cast there.

That's a cool idea.

Kinda reads to me as “abusing the speed force” and it’s generally gonna hit all Superspeed/Speed Force figures first anyways but doesn’t let you choose Professor X first against the X-Men.

I'm getting about 300 on the calculator. With the first power, I think he may end up feeling pretty swingy and when his primary target is hard to hit, he'll probably struggle to get his cost.

Could we open up Try to Outrun to be usable on his turns as well as the passive turns? It wouldn’t be anything overpowered, it’d give him something a bit more interesting to do if he’s your last figure, and it makes way more sense with The Superspeed callout then.

Otherwise a cool design.

There’s not really a clean way to let Black Flash use Try To Outrun Death on his turn - but we could simply swap Superspeed for Speed Force to accomplish effectively the same thing. I just worry he’d be throwing way too many autowounds each round with that.
