Re: Namor - Brainstorming Phase
Hey Whitey and A3n, this is a priority right now.
If we can get these units to playtesting, the Master Set will quickly complete itself and all that will be left is art work and rule book stuff. |

Re: Namor - Brainstorming Phase
Moloids, SuperSkrull, Skrull Warriors, and Mole Man all need their designs agreed upon so we can get them to initial playtests.
Doctor Doom is also available for an initial playtest. Then Namor, Puppet Master, and Annihilus still pretty much need to be designed from ground up. Hahma is set to work on the She-Hulk initial playtest. Thing is voting for ERB, Mr. Fantastic is in ERB, and Human Torch and Invisible Woman are voting for playtesting. So, we're getting there, but, yeah, a few more designs to finalize, a few more designs to really get started on, and Doom for playtesting. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Namor - Brainstorming Phase
OK, I guess we can move Doom along now, and then later, before the set releases but after the Doom Bots are done, I am sure I will playtest the two together.
So I am gonna playtest Doom today then. |

Re: Namor - Brainstorming Phase
You can playtest the Doombots first if you like. I'll let you finish that without doing Dr. Doom in the meantime. There's plenty else for me to work on.

Re: Namor - Brainstorming Phase
Need some more time to wrap my mind around this one, but so far I like it!
I guess this means we'll need more Atlanteans, though? C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Namor - Brainstorming Phase
Yeah, so I hope there are some. Aquaman is Atlantean isn't he?

My problem with this is What if Superman is in the same army, and the figure is shot at with a normal non-adjacent attack while in range of Heroic Duty and Atlantean Defender? Both powers take place, and they overlap. It isn't a question of which one comes first, because the rule book says to answer that with a D20 roll, this is an issue of which power doesn't get to work at all, because they can't both happen, it must be one or the other. EDIT: I can see now where this power is optional and Superman's isn't, so no foul there, though I don't think I really need this power on the card. I think FOOTD is enough for me, as that power is going to be very easy to use on most maps with his high move and the high likelihood that most maps have some water on them. Also, do we really want to create a bunch of Atlanteans just to justify this power that will be basically useless until we have some Atlanteans to play with? Re: Namor - Brainstorming Phase
Yeah he is, actually. For some reason, I thought the spellings were different on the characters, but they're not.

Re: Namor - Brainstorming Phase
It says "may" on the power, so Heroic Duty would take precedence. I don't think there's an interpretive issue there. Superman must, and once he's moved to roll defense, he's not an Atlantean, so the power wouldn't trigger any longer.
Edit: There will be other Atlanteans. Aquaman for sure, and Aqualad for sure. I think Mera may be one as well. And I'm sure there are some for Marvel that we'll likely do at some point. All of this without even doing squads (which someone will probably want to do once this power comes out and I'm fine with that). FoOtD really is two powers in one, though. It's terrain based Thorian Speed + terrain based Swoop kind of - so that is a pretty nice combo. I'm OK with him having a second power that's a niche power that brings Atlanteans as a group a bit of draftability and adds some theme for him, though. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
