Yeah, reading it side by side with Morrison's run is definitely weird, because it draws so much from it (the villains, the imagery, the plots) while veering off in their own direction with a lot of it.

The fact Doom Patrol is so good has me reconsidering my stance on Titans - I've heard it's good, but it just LOOKS so bad! I doubt I'll have time before my month subscription runs out though.

I was still "meh" on Titans after the first episode, but by the time I was through the Hawk and Dove episode, I was pretty "in."

There are a couple of episodes later named after specific characters that aren't part of the main cast that I thought were pretty fantastic as well.

Couldn't agree more on Titans, it's SOOOO much better than the critics made it out to be. So much! I'm waiting on finishing Titans for Doom Patrol.

Good stuff. Pretty much used the plot line I suspected and ended pretty close to how I imagined but there was a lot of surprises along the way.

Just finished watching Infinity War for the third time (my Mum was absolutely down with the idea of watching it again after I let her see Thanos when he released ), and I have to say - if it's possible, I'm even more excited and nervous about Infinity War.
No unmarked spoilers, please, even months after - I don't watch these films in theaters, waiting for a DVD release to watch it at home with my family.

Might be tough to avoid hearing any thing at all about a movie this big after a few months of release, but there are so many great moments in the film that you will still have lots of fun surprises even if a few get spoiled.

Yeah, I'm kind of resigned to that - that's pretty much what happened with Infinity War.

Reactions seem to be pretty all or nothing so far. We're seeing it tomorrow. I'll be interested to see where I fall (though I usually end up in a more measure middle. But you don't strike me as an "all or nothing" type typically, so we'll see!).

I’m guessing it will end up a pretty polarizing film, though I suspect that I’ll be in the minority and most people will love it. I tend to go by a 5 point system (Love, Like, Meh, Hated, Hated with a passion), and usually it’s either a like or meh for me. It’s definitely not the worst film I’ve seen, but I’ve no desire to ever watch it again outside of maybe some of the action scenes independent of the rest of the film, so that puts it in the Hated category for me. ‘Hated’ is actually a pretty rare category for me, usually I tend to skip right from ‘meh’ to ‘Hated with a passion’. I think my last stop on the Hated category was the first of the spinoff Harry Potter films (never bothered to see the second).

Part of it might be that I’ve never really drank the Marvel Kool-Aid. Like they’re consistently decent popcorn films and were basically the only Sci-Fi/Fantasy option of any merit for many a moon, but it’s always been a marriage of convenience for me. Like I don’t really see a point in doing ranking lists and such, but if someone put a gun to my head and said ‘name your top 100 films’ I don’t think a single MCU film would break into the top 25.

But anyway, I hope you either enjoy the film or dislike it in a manner that brings you joy. I’m very grateful that I see basically everything with my brother and we have very similar tastes (in film anyway). Much as I loathed movies like Last Jedi and SuperBatman Long Title of Doom, we’ve still had endless hours of joy viciously tearing them apart.
