Re: The Book of Bumblebee
Sounds pretty promising then. No idea what his card would look like though. Would need to revisit those issues.

Re: The Book of Bumblebee
The exosuit is basically only a thing in the original movie as far as US stuff is concerned. Spike does like nothing in it but stand around places. Daniel turns his into a mini car thing and shoots a laser once though.
In the OG comics, it's Buster Witwicky that's the 'main' Witwicky. Spike doesn't show up til way later and then he becomes Fortress Maximus's head. So whole different kettle of fish. IDW Spike is a basically an evil GI Joe (actually, somewhere in there he literally was a GI Joe I think). Which is an even more different kettle of fish. Then we have Regeneration One Spike who used to be Marvel Comic Spike, but is now Circuit Breaker II. So fish from one of the previous kettles that moved into a new kettle. And you have Spike the dragon from My Little Pony wearing a version of the Exosuit in the Transformers/MLP crossover comic.... which is like a jar of shrimp cosplaying as the first kettle of fish? Then you have Ladybird Books continuity Spike... who is some hideous armless boy with floating hands that defies any attempt at kettle or fish themed idoms. Re: The Book of Bumblebee
Thanks for the insight. I wasn't sure if it ever made it into the comics after the movie appearance.

Re: The Book of Bumblebee
It might be a good idea to put in a single-based clarification for Bumblebee, since most other Transformers are double-based, and to keep in line with Laserbeak (one of the only 3 Transformers that isn't double-based, alongside Ravage and Bumblebee) having a basing clarification.

Re: The Book of Bumblebee
I got a Bumblebee proxy I'm pretty happy with so I thought I'd share in case anyone else was considering their options. The figure is a Transformers bag clip with the eyebolt/keychain removed. You can find it on eBay for $7-8 including shipping. The eyebolt unscrews very easily leaving a small hole I won't bother to fill.
He comes in a little short at 7 tiles tall, relative to the official 9-height figure, but I think this one matches the Walmart figure aesthetic better while still falling within Bumblebee's portrayed scale range. |

Yeah, that's a pretty good option. Thanks for sharing!

Re: The Book of Bumblebee
I picked up that Keychain figure too. You are right that it's a little shorter, but I like the appearance of that figure

Re: The Book of Bumblebee
I have one of these too, works well. I think Tornado brought it to the con.

Re: The Book of Bumblebee
I took a Gundam marker to one that Tornado kindly gave me, it looks really sweet.

I thought it looked familiar.
