R2: Scorpion wounds Octopus(2/5shields) from high ground, Tail Whips Frank for a wound. Frank wounds Scorpion, Man Bat Claw Carries Scorp, to low ground, 2wounds him, Nerve Punches OM2. Horrible display. Man-Bat was nearly useless and Frank stunk it up as well.

The Octopus had a pretty decent game, pulling off the victory despite the treacherous Kool-Aid Man. Man-Bat once again was pretty weak.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: A nice addition to the Creature faction and you have to love the Kool synergy. After playing him against a team of 200s with no synergy, I think he would be fine at 200.

Post-game thoughts: Octopus fell after a lengthy slug-em-out brawl with Deathstrike. Some cool uses of most of his powerset here, but I think the Creatures just don’t have enough framework yet for him to feel useful with them.

Pre-game thoughts: With the recent Ant-Man change, you can get the value out of bonding with the ants through an Octopus turn. Then, if you lose Hank, the ants don’t come with him, so not much value is lost.

Octopus is Buffy’s chosen Big Bad.

Post-game thoughts: Some unlucky rolls and Ash making him into a Deadite meant Octopus fell pretty fast, but the rest of his team was able to pull up the slack and barely eke out a win.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: He’s fun. He feels somewhat fragile, but I don’t think that’s a bad thing overall. Scientist Extortion leads to a lot of cool army building options, and if/when the Creature faction expands, I can see him being a valuable asset there, both as a tie-down unit and as a source of backup bonding. (Especially since there’s already a kind of logical Scientist/Creature connection that could be explored.)

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: Might be worth a 10 point drop? He’s useful, but maybe not 220 points worth of useful. I’ll let others look at the results and decide.
