Think I am going to drop Magical Defense here. It kinda makes it to where any future MTG designs would need to have both Planeswalking and MD which leaves room for only a single power. And I don't think most of them need access to a wide variety of spells since they generally only cast spells of their "type". Like having Chandra the Fire mage casting healing spells would be weird.

I don't think there is anything I want to add to Dack's card to replace it since Greatest Thief already has a lot going on. Maybe just a small boost to his defense to 5. Any thoughts on how that would affect his cost?

MD > +1 D seems like it'd be a drop, but he does have a fairly low life value, so maybe not that much of a drop?

He'd definitely drop a few points losing MD, even with a little defense boost. But I think that's probably a good choice. It'd feel weird to have someone like Gideon or Ajani slinging spells. Would give us more room to work if we need.

Exactly, they technically all do magic, but they all have limited things they do. Like Gideon is just indestructible. They aren't all out there slinging all kinds of spells.

I think I have Dack's magic covered by his Marker power already which is enough.

Also there's the whole publisher deal. Dack's comics appearances were all under IDW. But the current series which has appearances of most of the other characters that might get designs through Boom Studios. We pretty much said 1 publisher per IP here and have made concessions with Transformers and Doctor Who to keep them all under one publisher. I think I lean towards Boom because the current series is better than the IDW stuff and it has more of the characters. I can avoid using IDW art on this card by using some of the art from actual MTG cards (something we've already done on C3G Spells). Thoughts?

Yeah I'd probably put under Boom. I don't know if we've every really cared about art matching publishers before, but also this could be the first time it's ever come up. Also fine using MTG cards, that art is used in a ton of promotional stuff for the company anyway, it's official, and would look great on our cards.
