With some practice both powers are very usable.

Great strategy. I like them better being used in the middle for the game. Having a few heroes or heavy hitters starting out seemed to bring more out of these guys.

- What should be the unit's point value? 80 points
- Give a brief overview. I basically played Lawmen vs. the Insane. It was a great match. The real downfall to the Science Police was Poison Ivy's Plant Animation. The map Flash Fire was made for Poison Ivy and she was quite effective.
Map: Flash Fire
Units: Player 1: Science Police X 3 Jonah Hex, Comminsioner Gordon, and the Punisher 720 points.
Player 2: Joker, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Count Vertigo, and one squad of the Hand Ninja.

Spoiler Alert!

Round 1
Player 2 wins initative and gets to use Joker's Reorganized Chaos. He moves markers from the Science Police and the Commish and puts them on Jonah Hex. Player 2 then moves Harly and Ivy into the middle of the board. Player 1 then moves the Commish and then the Science Police with "Call for Backup." Player 2 then moves Count Vertigo and attacks one of the Science Police, but it is blocked. Player 1 is able to move 3 of the Science Police close enough to Count Vertigo to attack him. This lands 1 wound. Player 1 is then allowed to move 4 Science Police foward with REINFORCEMENTS ON THE WAY. Player 2 then attacks a Science Police with Count Vertigo and kills one. Player 1 then moves Jonah Hex forward.

Round 2
Player 1 wins the roll off. The Science Police get help from EXTREME PREJUDICE and kill Count Vertigo(This was possible because of REINFORCEMENTS ON THE WAY used last round). Player 2 then moves Poison Ivy and uses"plant animation" and kills 4 Science Police. This map really works to her advantage. Harley Quinn takes a turn through Insane devotion and attacks a Science Police but misses. Player 1 then attacks Poison Ivy with the Science Police and lands 4 wounds. Through EXTREME PREJUDICE, a single Science Police is able to attack Harley Quinn, but misses. Player 2 has no turn. (Marker was on Count Vertigo). Player 1 then attacks Poison Ivy with the Science Police, and kills her. They use EXTREME PREJUDICE and attack Harley Quinn but miss. Player 2 then moves Harley Quinn and throws her Smilex Bomb and 3 Science Police. Then bomb destroys 1 Science Police.

Round 3
Player 1 moves first and moves the Commish to higher ground. Player 2 then moves the Hand Ninja and kills 2 Science Police. Player 1 attacks the Hand Ninja with the Science Police but miss. Player 2 attacks the Commish with the Hand Ninja and lands 1 wound. Player 1 then starts to move Jonah Hex along the side of the board. He attacks the Hand Ninja, but misses. The Joker and Harley then move toward the middle of the board.

Round 4
Player 2 wins the roll off and takes 2 Order Markers off the Punisher and place them on the Commish with the Joker's Reorganized Chaos. Player 1 then moves the Hand Ninja and kills the Commish. Player 1 has no turn. (Order Marker on the Commish). Player 2 moves the Hand Ninja forward to attack Jonah Hex and land 3 wounds. Player 1 still has no turn. Player 2 then mover the Joker and Harley still more to the middle of the board. Player 1 then moves Jonah Hex and attacks Harley Quinn, but lands no wounds.

Round 5
Player 2 wins the roll off and moves to markers from the Punisher to Jonah Hex. Player 2 then attacks with the Hand Ninja and lands 4 wounds on the Punisher. Player 1 then attacks with the Punisher and kills 2 Hand Ninja with Auto Shotgun Special Attack. Player 2 moves the remaining Hand Ninja then kills the Punisher. Player 1 then moves Jonah Hex and attacks Harley Quinn, but misses. Player 2 attacks Jonah Hex with the Joker and kills him.

Round 6
Player 2 wins the roll off. The Joker attacks the remaining Science Police and kills him.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Player 2 wins with Joker, Harley Quinn and 1 Hand Ninja.

- Give a brief overview. I took 4 squads of the Space Police and put them up against the Martian Manhunter and Wonder Woman. The Science Police prevailed! This time I really got to use Extreme Prejudice to its full effect.

Units: Player 1: Martian Manhunter, and Wonder Woman 600 points
Player 2: Science Police X4, Gorilla Grodd, and Bodyguards X4 605 points

Round 1
Player 2 wins the roll off and moves Gorilla Grodd and then tries to used Cogniazant Mind Control on Wonder Woman, but fails. Player 1 then moves Martian Manhunter and Wonder Woman onto road spaces. Player 2 moves Gorilla Grodd again and tries to mind control Martian Manhunter but fails. Player 1 then moves Wonder Woman into a better position to try and attack Grodd next turn. Player 2 moves Gorilla Grodd again and tries to Mind control Wonder Woman, but fails. Player 1 then moves Martian Manhunter so he can attack Gorilla Grodd and lands two wounds.

Round 2
Player 1 wins the roll off and moves is able to move Wonder Woman and use her Golden Lasso on Gorilla Grodd. She then attacks and lands 2 more wounds. Player 2 attacks Wonder Woman with Gorilla Grodd and lands 4 wounds. Player 1 then kills Gorilla Grodd with Wonder Woman. Player 2 loses his turn because the marker was on Gorilla Grodd. Player 1 then moves Martain Manhunter over to a Science Police and kills her. Player 2 then attacks Martian Manhunter and Wonder Woman, but they take no wounds. Player 2 is then able to move 4 Science Police with REINFORCEMENTS ON THE WAY.

Round 3
Player 2 wins the roll off. With 3 Science Police already in position Player 2 moves three more and is able to get the full fire power of EXTREME PREJUDICE. They attack and kill Wonder Woman. They them move 4 more Science Police around the area of were the Martian Manhunter is. Player 1 has no turn. Marker was on Wonder Woman. Player 2 attacks Martian Manhunter with the Science Police and is able to attack Martian Manhunter 5 times because of EXTREME PREJUDICE. They land 1 wound. Science Police also able get to move 4 more figures which are making it very hard for poor John to have a safe place to run to. Player 2 then moves the Martian Manhunter up behind a ruin where he kills a Science Police.

Round 4
Player 1 wins the roll off and is able to kill one Science Police with Martian Manhunter. Player 2 uses the 3 Science Police to attack Martian Manhunter and land 1 wound. Player 1 then moves additional Science Police. Player 1 then kills another Science Police with Martian Manhunter. Player 2 attacks again with the Science Police and lands no wounds on the Martian Manhunter. Player 1 then attacks a Science Police and kills him. Player 2 ends the round by using Science Police to attack the Martian Manhunter, but lands no wounds.

Round 5
Player 2 wins the roll off and is able to land another wound on Martian Manhunter. Player 2 then moves more Science Police around with REINFORCMENTS ON THE WAY. Player 1 then moves Martian Manhunter to the other side of the board where he attacks and kills another Science Police. Player 2 attacks Martian Manhunter with more Science Police, but misses. More Science Police are then moved with REINFORCEMENTS ON THE WAY. Player 1 kills another Science Police. Player 2 attacks with Science Police, but miss the Martian Manhunter. More Science Police are moved with REINFORCEMENTS ON THE WAY. Martian Manhunter then kills another Science Police.

Round 6
I will now use abrivations to speed up the last remanining rounds. MM attacks the SP and miss. This allows the SP to use EXTREME PREJUDICE one last time, but it fails to land a wound. MM then kills another SP. SP then attack MM and miss. MM then kills another SP. The SP attack MM but miss.

Round 7
Player 2 wins the roll off at attacks MM with SP and lands a wound. MM then attacks and kills a SP. SP then attack MM and misses. MM attack SP and misses.
The last remaining SP attacks and kills the MM.

Who won and how many wounds did they have? Player 2 wins with 1 Science Police and 4 Bodyguards.

In closing I have to say that this squad is fun and it is a great design. It takes a bit to get the hang of this squad, but once you get it down, they are very effective. Defeating the Martian Manhunter was a blast. I was able to shut down a figure that cannot be shot at simply by have large numbers of figures. I would not change anything about this unit and look forward to having them in my C3G collection.

Did this playtest change anything for anyone? I was feeling that 80 was the upper limit from his tests, so 85 might put them down to a C- unit, but I can live with that .

I think it's been our trend to try to slightly "overcost" squads to keep heroes with a slight advantage.

Mate, I went to do that yesterday, but I stepped outside and I was met with SMOKE everywhere. There was a nearby forest fire and my entire city was smoked out and dark. Hopefully today.
