Re: The Book of Orange Lantern (Lex Luthor) - Design
SirG, can you suggest a wording that would let him block any attack but only deflect normal attacks?

Re: The Book of Orange Lantern (Lex Luthor) - Design
Does this work?
ORANGE SHIELD DEFLECTION Anytime this Orange Lantern is attacked by an opponent's figure and at least 1 skull is rolled, instead of rolling defense dice normally, you may remove one Battery Marker from this card to ignore the attack. If it was a normal attack, you may choose a figure within 4 clear sight spaces to roll defense and take any resulting wounds from the attack instead. |

Re: The Book of Orange Lantern (Lex Luthor) - Design
Professor X is our precedent for X-Marker use. I believe his card has the quotes, but it's worth double checking.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

In this case, it's not an X marker.

Ah, OK. That's probably where Porkins is getting confused, then.

Re: The Book of Orange Lantern (Lex Luthor) - Design
Should Orange Shield Deflection be restricted to non-adjacent attacks? How do you deflect a punch 3 spaces away?
ORANGE SHIELD DEFLECTION Anytime this Orange Lantern is attacked by an opponent's figure with a normal attack and at least 1 skull is rolled, instead of rolling defense dice normally, you may choose a figure within X number of clear sight spaces of this Orange Lantern, where X is equals the number of Battery Markers on this card and then remove one Battery Marker from this card. The chosen figure must roll defense and take any resulting wounds from the attack instead of this Orange Lantern. Good point about adjacent figures. How about this?

Re: The Book of Orange Lantern (Lex Luthor) - Design
I kind of like how, in SirG's posted version, you're tempted to risk attacking him from range in order to get him to burn markers, thus lowering his stats.

Re: The Book of Orange Lantern (Lex Luthor) - Design
I'm not seeing what you're seeing. The only differences I see between them is that SirG's version doesn't protect against special attacks and has a variable range on the deflection based on battery markers.
