The figure used for the design is a modified Heroclix figure from the DC 75th Anniversary set. Its model number and name is #001 / Easy Company Soldier.
The helmet should be removed (carved off?) and the face painted in white bandages. The figure could also work as an unmodified figure. (He's sneaky)

The Unknown Soldier is an unnamed man who joined the U.S. Army in the early part of World War Two, along with his older brother Harry. Both were assigned to the same unit in the Pacific Islands, where Harry was killed saving his brother from a Japanese grenade. The explosion hideously disfigures the young soldier's face beyond repair.

Harry had said that one man being in the right place could mean the difference in winning a battle, and his scarred brother took this to heart. He became a one-man undercover agent, and trained to the peak of physical perfection. He became skilled in make up, and learned how to impersonate almost anybody. From his base at the Pentagon in Washington, DC, the Soldier travelled to both the European and Pacific theatres of World War Two to be in the right place at the right time.

His exploits became legendary; of all the American war heroes who haunted Adolph Hitler, the Soldier became the most hated. The Soldier on occasion would team up with other government agents such as the black jazz player Chat Noir and OSS's Sparrow. While his fame spread throughout the war, he was often opposed and sometimes thwarted by his German counterpart, the Black Knight.

The Soldier himself infiltrated Hitler's Berlin bunker as the war was ending in Europe during 1945. He "helped" the Fuhrer commit suicide and then left the bunker. The Soldier was then apparently killed during a selfless act of saving a child from an explosion in the streets of Berlin, thus seemingly ending his career as it had begun with his older brother's selfless act. (In the final panel of #268 One of the two soldiers whom had witnessed this act of heroism is shown scratching his face - a trademark gesture of the Unknown Soldier - leaving us to speculate about his apparent death).

The Unknown Soldier was alive during America's bicentennial. He was the bartender during a reunion with The Losers, Gravedigger, Jeb Stuart, and Mademoiselle Marie. Unknown Soldier may have been leading one of the incarnations of The Suicide Squad. A mask of Sgt. Rock was seen in a video clip. Bulldozer was seen getting out of his wheel chair and walking away. Amanda Waller told one of employees that Rock and Bulldozer died in 1945.

It was later revealed that The Soldier was in fact alive, although his superiors proclaimed him dead, his last appearance to date was in Garth Ennis' Unknown Soldier published by Vertigo in 1997 where he's seen trying to find a successor to replace him as The Soldier. (Comicvine)

IMPERSONATE
Before placing Order Markers for each round, choose an opponent's medium Unique Hero on the battlefield to be The Unknown Soldier's Impersonated Hero. While the Impersonated Hero is on the battlefield, The Unknown Soldier can only be attacked by, targeted or chosen for special powers by, or take leaving engagement attacks from the Impersonated Hero.

THE IMMORTAL G.I.

1: At the start of every round after The Unknown Soldier has been destroyed, if there is at least one opposing Unique Hero remaining, roll the twenty-sided die. If you roll a twenty, place The Unknown Soldier on an unoccupied space within 6 clear sight spaces of an opponent's Unique Hero. The chosen Hero is now The Unknown Soldier's Impersonated Hero.

2: At the start of every round after The Unknown Soldier has been destroyed, roll one combat die for each opposing figure remaining. For each blank rolled, remove one wound marker from The Unknown Soldier. When all wounds have been removed, place The Unknown Soldier on an unoccupied space within 6 clear sight spaces of an opponent's Unique Hero. The chosen Hero is now The Unknown Soldier's Impersonated Hero.

3: At the start of every round after The Unknown Soldier has been destroyed, if there is at least one opposing Unique Hero remaining, roll one combat die for each opposing figure remaining, up to a maximum of 4 dice. As I said before, whatever balances best out of 2, 3 or 4 is cool by me, @cwidje . If I had to choose, then I think 3 is probably the best of the 3 balance-wise.

cwidje, I like 3 best but would increase the limit to a max of 6 dice. On average 6 dice will only give you 1 blank and with 4 life that would still take 4 rounds to come back. Or leave it at max 4 but count shields instead of blanks.

After revealing an Order Marker on this card you may remove one Wound Marker from this card if Doomsday does not move or attack this turn. When Doomsday is destroyed, begin your next turn with a total of 6 Wound Markers on this card. Order Markers may still be placed and revealed on this card. If the last Wound Marker is removed from this card while Doomsday is destroyed, immediately place Doomsday on a space adjacent to any figure you control.
