Yeah. Basically want to make sure the Batmobile isn't the driver here. Although, at least you could only do that by driving the Batmobile into the mech with the Batmobile Remote. If you tried to do it while the Batmobile was occupied, you'd run into the occupancy limit.

Looking over the VDO rules again, it’ll need a more robust cockpit power that stops squad figures from getting in Mobile Suits too, since that actually causes mechanical issues since it would get super broken really fast.

Like the best Gundam army shouldn’t be 4 high end Gundams and a squad of Civilians giving them bonding with each other.

You'd only get to move one suit at a time, since moving a VDO uses up the entire movement phase for an Army card. I guess the rules don't explicitly cover attacking, though, so they'd be open for attack bonding.

Yeah, attack bonding is plenty worrisome. Like there are Gundams that shoot nuclear warheads out of bazookas or unleash nanobots that destroy all technology in the solar system and stuff like that.

VDOs rules left attacking open for specific cards to cover. Could easily put in the special attack text that it's instead of attacking with any figure from that Army Card instead of just instead of attacking with that figure. That essentially kills the squad bonding.

I think text space wise just saying no to squads being there at all in the Cockpit power is cleaner. And there's not a particularly compelling reason for them to be able to pilot Mobile Suits that seems worth the potential headaches to me. A lot of fancier Mobile Suits have some specific requirements to be able to pilot them anyway and I don't think I'd bother doing any of the grunt suits (just not practical).

Probably just change it to a power actually called Mobile Suit or something so it could be tweaked to the right specifics without having a really generic name to worry about.

Mobile Suit
Only single spaced Unique Heroes may occupy Char's Zaku. If anything else is needed it would go here.

Which could then be replaced by slightly more complex powers for Mobile Armors/Fighters/Newtype-only Suits and whatnot.
