Started testing Billy and he ended up being in Leopardon my whole first game, which made me realize something:

I think we should drop the clear sight restriction from Ranger Analysis. If we want Power Rangers to be encouraged to be in full cover mechs, it'd be nice if their signature powers still worked inside them! Like the Combat Flips and special attacks shouldn't, but if they each have one synergy power outside that, I think it's ideal for them to still work when they're all Zorded up.

I'm down for that change. Do you think that would change his cost, being able to drop the defense of any opponent figure on the map? Or should it just be within 5 clear sight spaces of any Ranger you control?

Edit: Or you just mean dropping the sight restriction completely? I'm not opposed to that.

Why is that a problem? Blue Ranger can see out of VDOs?

What am I missing?

Figures occupying the interior of a DO with Full Cover are never considered in clear sight of non-friendly figures outside of that DO, are never considered to have clear sight on non-friendly figures outside of that DO, and may never attack or be attacked by a figure outside of that DO (this includes both targeting attacks, and affecting additional figures such as with an explosion style special attack).

Figures occupying the interior of a DO with Full Cover are considered in clear sight of friendly figures outside of that DO that have clear sight on that DO. If a DO with Full Cover has clear sight on a figure, figures friendly to that figure in the interior of that DO are considered to have clear sight on that figure.

Something like this should solve that.

RANGER ANALYSIS
Before any Ranger you control attacks, you may reveal an "X" Order Marker on a Ranger card you control, if you do, choose an opponent's figure and for the remainder of this player turn the chosen figure subtracts 2 from its Defense number.

I could have sworn this was discussed already.

Anyway, going from 5 spaces to infinity spaces is a big power level increase.

All you need for VDO compatibility is to delete the red text:
