So sounds like it's worded correctly and was played correctly, just the (Hasbro-based) wording isn't 100% intuitive. This is usually where we FAQ. I'd suggest writing up an FAQ and posting it in the Rules Team thread for review.

Previously in Hasbro's case just means "Earlier in the game." It's bizarre but there's no other meaning to that.

So basically if we just said destroyed, it's basically the same thing. But also that's probably a bunch of updates and it's a sin we carried over from Hasbro, so meh. :P

I only found 22 in a quick index search. But, yeah, wording it the way it's worded here has a strong precedent.
