AUTO CHAIN GUN
When an enemy figure takes a turn and moves within 4 clear sight spaces of War Machine, if that figure was not within 4 clear sight spaces of War Machine prior to its movement, you may immediately roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 11 or higher, the figure receives 1 wound. Continue rolling for Auto Chain Gun until the figure is destroyed or you do not roll 11 or higher.

That language is a bit less standard but much more intuitive in how it works.

Then again, maybe it's just the Brainiac5/Sage combo that's broken, and we should focus on fixing that one rather than a spillover effect like the broken ACG.

Yes I think (mainly just Sage) should definitely be adjusted.

I think the wording you provided makes it so it only activates on another figures turn which ruins the throw/teleport activation of ACG. From the FAQ it does suggest that they want the throws etc to trigger ACG.

I am starting to feel as though the stacking of d20 bonuses are the real issue that needs to be addressed. There are a lot of d20 based powers that can move a figure into the broken discussion when you start significantly adding to the rolls success rate. Perhaps all the d20 buffing powers need to have a line of text added to them, something like this.

When this ability is used, no other special powers or abilities on any friendly figures may be used to further adjust the results of the roll.

Weebaer, it is a very old ruling concerning Jotun's throw and Nakita's Engagement Strike: "place" equates to "move" in how it relates to powers that trigger upon "moving" like with Engagement Strike. And you are right. It wasn't clear before, and so the official game FAQed it and we just followed suit.

I've never been a big fan of the strategy of attacking/wounding your own figures so I'd be for a restriction here of some sort. As it is now you can do things like shoot your own Conan figure just to try and put a single wound on him and trigger his wound limiting power.

Honestly, unless I was facing a ton of auto-wounders, one of my first plays with Conan would probably be to wound him myself. Though I'd use Magneto 2 or something for that probably (free move and Battle Hardened trigger in one easy package!). Still, it at least makes some thematic sense for Mags, I don't see Rhodes as the type to shot his own guys willy nilly.
