I don't think there's a big mechanical issue with that style wording. That's more with wording that's like 'subtract 2 from their defense, to a minimum of one' kinda stuff?

Pretty sure the Judge Death stuff was just of the "he would be fine just taking all the dice away" variety.

With Death people did not want him to take away all Defense because of one shield defense powers like Flash.

Weather Wizard moves up. Black Bat and Robin move up. Captain Boomerang moves up. Black Bat & Robin are blocked. Captain Cold is blocked and Golden Glider whiffs both her Golden Tendrils attacks. Black Bat’s Fist of Fury kills Weather Wizard, then Robin is blocked.

Cold puts 2 wounds on Robin, then has Boomerang disengage Robin then target him for Acid Boomerang - wounding Black Bat - and wounding Robin. Golden Glider wounds Black Bat. Black Bat wounds Cold then Robin puts 2 more wounds on him. Cold & Glider both whiff. Black Bat kills Cold and Robin wounds Boomerang. Lost OM3 on Captain Cold. Black Bat kills Golden Glider with fists of fury and Robin wounds Boomerang.

Black Bat and Robin manage one wound on Boomerang. Black Bat’s Defensive Premonition kills Boomerang. Black Bat & Robin kill Trickster. This was a slaughter.

Angel carries Shadowcat up, Jean moves up. Top moves up. Toad & Pyro move up. Weather Wizard moves up. Jean Grey puts 2 wounds on Weather Wizard while Toad puts a third wound on him. Captain Cold says “do you know what happens to a Toad that’s been struck by a cold gun? The same thing as everything else.” and inflicts 2 wounds on Toad. Cold activates Weather Wizard, who wounds Jean Grey. Then Golden Glider uses her Oracle-boosted normal attack to kill Toad.

Captain Cold whiffs, and Golden Glider is blocked. Jean Grey is blocked and so is Shadowcat. Cold wounds Jean, then activates Top. Top goes on a rampage with Spinning Top special attack, killing Jean and bringing Shadowcat to 3 wounds. Golden Glider finishes the job, ending Shadowcat. Angel kills Weather Wizard then Pyro wounds Top & Glider. Cold whiffs but Glider uses her special attack to put 2 wounds on Pyro. Angel wounds Top then Pyro kills Glider.

Top again goes on a rampage with Spinning Top special attack, killing Angel and Pyro. Prof X wheels up. Cold is blocked. Prof X wounds Cold. Cold is blocked. Prof X wounds Cold.

Top is blocked. Prof X is blocked. Top kills Prof X.

The Rogues crushed this (weak) squad of Mutants. This was mainly due to The Top’s absurd offense, but Glider got in a few wounds and ate some wounds that could have been directed elsewhere. Nice to see them really wreck an army for once.

Top moves up. Plastic Man bounces up. Weather Wizard wounds Plastic Man. Black Canary wounds Weather Wizard with Canary Cry. Abra Kadabra is blocked, but Golden Glider wounds Plastic Man. Black Canary whiffs then Green Arrow’s attack is obstructed by fog from Weather Wizard.

Black Canary’s fists of fury take down Weather Wizard. Abra Kadabra wounds Green Arrow from height, while Golden Glider puts 2 wounds on Black Canary with her normal attack. Black Canary goes berserk, using fists of fury to take down Abra Kadabra in a single turn. Lost OM2+3 on Abra Kadabra. Black Canary is blocked.

Black Canary is blocked. Top is blocked. Black Canary again rolls really well and takes down Top in 2 attacks. Lost OM2+3 on Top. Green Arrow moves up.

Black Canary wounds Golden Glider. Cold is blocked. Green Arrow puts 3 wounds on Cold. Cold whiffs. Green Arrow takes out Cold. Glider wounds Canary.

Black Canary crushed the opposition, and Golden Glider became pretty useless once her bonding hero fell.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: So I quickly realized that 130 points was a bit much for what Golden Glider offers, so I took her down to 100 & 110 for the next tests. She felt a lot better there. Ultimately the Rogues are still a swingy, weaker faction that struggles against heroes above their point cost (all three games were a slaughter in one direction or the other). However, Golden Glider gives them a bit more oomph for a while and when the dream combo happens where Captain Cold activates a 3rd figure, they can start to do some damage. She’s a nice addition for the faction.

Glider herself has decent survivability with her Intangibility, but 4 life/4 defense still falls quickly. Her special attack is nice for the chance of autowound, but it’s hardly reliable. I felt like I was using her normal & special attacks fairly equally. I’m thinking that moving forward at 110 points is a good plan.

Awesome! Definitely wasn't thinking she would allow them to dominate, but it's a help! She seems to be doing about what I expected, which is the right direction.
