Welcome, gentlefolk, to my map thread.

Here you'll find 2 BoV maps, 3 WoS maps, 4 GenCon maps, and 2 ScapeCon/ScapeCon East maps, along with my other stuff.

Many of them — Apocalypse Now, Avernus, Borogoves, Blood Shard, Caldera, Dance of the Dryads, Desperado, Ice Thistle, Moisture Farms, Mome Raths, Morh, Odin Wept, Song of the Walrus, and Stygian Rift — can be played online.

NEW: thanks to Lyrgard and his amazing HexScape, it seems that mapmakers now have good reason to make their VirtualScape .hsc files publicly available. So if anyone wants to load these into HexScape (or tinker with them in VirtualScape), here in a Dropbox folder are the original .hsc files for most of my maps.

An improvement on Dance of the Dryads? In many ways I think so. At the very least, there aren't many competitive maps that use only one Dungeon set. I'm quite proud of how far this map stretches the terrain.

I've tweaked one of my favorites here. Now has better glyph access, more dynamic height in the center, and clearer/more logical SZs, among other tweaks.
Hard to squeeze a competitive map out of a single BftU and single Tundra, but I think this little baby does the trick.

I'm really pleased with how this one turned out, especially with how the glyph areas interact with the central heights through the linking shadow.

Another classic that's been recently improved, thanks to suggestions for the WoS gang. The old version was too easily clogged, and too flat on top. This one has been widened and the hive/big glacier bumped outward, to prevent clogging. There's also dynamic height in the middle now, and much more room for maneuvering, along with a smooth LVL2 path running all the way around the hive/big glacier for easier flanking.

Thinking the map resembled a space ship, I named it after the 1979 arcade game. Milks a single BftU for all it's worth. (If you knew that "galaxy" comes from the Greek word meaning 'milky'.... you can stop groaning now.)

YAR'S REVENGE
(accepted for review by the Maps for Noobs)
Yar's Revenge was an early video game designed for the Atari 2600 in 1981, which challenged the player to blast holes through the circular walls of a space castle. The blasted walls of this map reminded me of the game.
