I would reword Superman's Biggest Fan into something like this. The current version doesn't require you to have drafted a figure named Superman, and I'm not sure drafted is official scape language anyway.

Unit Summary: By the time Superman fell, only two life Barry Allen remained. Bibbo showed he’s a risky place for Order Markers, but wasn’t able to get anything done here. Ultimately this was won handily without Bibbo and Bibbo didn’t accomplish anything, so it’s hard to judge his value from this one.

Unit Summary: Superman (JL-II) seems like Bibbo’s most likely pairing, just because having turn bonding and +1 attack is decently useful in closing. Despite his falling before doing anything, this seems like one of his best pairings, and he felt more useful here than in the blowout win.

UNIT SUMMARY: Bibbo is a pretty niche character who is a bit dangerous in that niche. Usually when Superman wins, he’s the one who does the winning. If you get to where you’re using your back up, it means you’re probably in trouble. A less durable Superman more designed to be killed early like Superman (JL-II) or one who can force you to attack him more like Superman (JL-I) are probably the right combos for Bibbo. I think Lois is a nice pairing as well since that really puts a target on Superman’s head due to his then supercharged offense. That said, Bibbo is a pretty soft target, so no one should pay terribly much for the back up he provides, since he’s a little bit of a liability for Order Marker placement.

Pre-Game Thoughts/Preview : Fairly odd army for Bibbo, but the plan is that Leatherhead gets all the early OMs to move up. When he gets some wounds, Clark will use ‘This Looks Like a Job For Superman’ to help Leatherhead fight. After Clark or Leatherhead dies, Superman comes out, and after he dies, Bibbo and Mockingbird are the late game duo.

ROUND 1 : Crime Syndicate initiative.
All 3 members of the Syndicate work their way up the field. Leatherhead is charging in, with Clark behind. Ultraman gets a wound onto Leatherhead, and activates Superwoman. She would destroy Clark, but he goes away and brings out Supes. She then Lassos Leatherhead, who gets a 2 wound onto Superman. Superman tries to go after Owlman, but he fails to wound, and takes 2 wounds from Calculated Defense.

ROUND 2 : Crime Syndicate initiative.
Ultraman lasers Superman, and Superwoman beats him down for the kill after. With OMs 1 and 2 on Superman, Leatherhead pretty much just gets bullied for the rest of the round. He gets a wound onto Ultraman on OM 3.

ROUND 3 : Crime Syndicate initiative.
Leatherhead dies after a Heat Vision/Superwoman attack combo. With all 3 OMs on Bibbo, he activates Mockingbird who vaults in, dealing 1 wound to Ultraman. Ultraman and Superman deal some damage to Mockingbird, but don’t kill her. Bibbo charges in and misses some attacks, but he and Mockingbird live Syndicate OM 3. Bibbo and Bobbi come out hot on their OM 3, with Mockingbird killing Superwoman thanks to height/Supes boost, and Bibbo dealing 2 wounds to Ultraman.

ROUND 4: Team Bibbo initiative.
Bibbo and Mockingbird don’t roll too well on their attacks against Ultraman. Crime Syndicate retaliates with Ultraman Heat Visioning Bibbo to death. Mockingbird does a great job of surviving the rest of the round after Ultraman whiffs a Heat Vision, and she lowers Owlman’s attack with some Mocking Words.

ROUND 4: Team Bibbo initiative.
Mockingbird opens with a really solid attack roll, but Ultraman defends it. With an easy roll, Ultraman takes Mockingbird out with a Heat Vision. Crime Syndicate wins!

Post-Game Thoughts :Fun game. Crime Syndicate had a strong start, but they REALLY feel hurt when they lose any member. Bibbo and Mockingbird did pretty well as a 180 point cleanup duo, but Leatherhead and Superman didn’t do much of anything. Losing Clark so early really threw a wrench in my plan with Team Bibbo too.

Pre-Game Thoughts/Preview : Some heavy hitters on both sides. Superman is gonna hog all the OMs until he dies, and then Bibbo (in the Gundam) and Wiccan will do their thing. Would squeeze in some OM saving if I could, but alas.

ROUND 1 : Invincible initiative.
Atom Eve gets OM 1, but the action starts very quickly as Superman jets up the field on OM 1 and Heat Visions Atom Eve for 1 wound. Omni-Man on OM 2, as Atom Eve puts a Transmutation marker onto Superman, and removes a wound from herself. Omni-Assault for 4 wounds to Supes. Supes won’t do much to either Viltrumite, so he takes a LEA wound to go after her. She takes a wound. Invincible on OM 3, Supes gets a marker from Atom Eve but no wounds this turn.

ROUND 2 : Invincible initiative.
Superman won’t stop going after Atom Eve, but she lives through his first few attack. She falls after a crazy roll on his 2nd attack. Omni-Man comes in with the steel chair though, and kills Superman on Invincible OM 3.

ROUND 3 : Invincible initiative.
Omni-Man flies to the center. Wiccan teleports himself and the Gundam piloting Bibbo up. It turns into an all out brawl of Gundam/Wiccan vs. Omni-Man/Invincible. The round ends with Gundam and Wiccan lightly wounded, but Omni-Man dead and Invincible fresh.

ROUND 4 : Bibbo initiative.
Wiccan starts off, dealing no wounds on his attack, but warping a wound off of himself and onto Invincible. Gundam slashes Invincible for 1 wound. Invincible uses Super Punch, putting Wiccan at 2/4 Life and Gundam at 4/7 Life. Invincible ends red OM 2 with 2/7 Life. He opts to attack Gundam on his OM 2, but fails to wound.Wiccan and Gundam are able to finish Invincible off on their OM 3. Team Bibbo wins!

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Bibbo 3/3 Life, Wiccan 2/4 Life, Gundam 4/7 Life.

Post-Game Thoughts : Solid win, but I think that’s more to Gundam and Wiccan being solid than anything.

General Thoughts on the Tested Unit : Bibbo's got a weird role, but it feels like he opens up a lot of army options. You do have to halfway build around a 50 point unit (needs a minimum 370-cost Superman + someone that is strong enough for bonding to feel worth it + a Gundam), but it felt solid. Team Invincible isn't S tier or anything, but I wanted figures that can 1v1 450 Supes decently.

Could see 60-70 points off of the 2nd game. Neat design.

I don't know if I'd say essential, but Gundam Bibbo is probably optimal. Putting the OMs on Bibbo feels way less risky when he's inside a giant mech.

Solo Bibbo isn't a complete sandbag or anything, and he's a pretty decent double attacker with Superman JL II and the right terrain.

I think there is quite a bit of bias toward the Gundam when testing this dude that wouldn't be there in a normal match.

Like when testing him, you want him to do something and you're going to disproportionally build around him. In a normal game, you aren't trying to max out a 50 point dude. He's just filler.

There are a lot of better ways to spend 350 points in a Superman build than hoping he dies and then you can bond with another thing that you have to draft on top of those 350 points.

Like in that second army you could just use Ms. Marvel instead and have bonding from the start of the game including with Superman.

Putting Bibbo in a Gundam is the optimal way to make powerhouse Bibbo, making powerhouse Bibbo is not the optimal way to play Bibbo IMO.
