Yeah, it seems to have gone over well with her. I was a little worried that the design wouldn't have enough pop, but they feel pretty good in action.

Did you need more tests here Ronin? I did some, but I saw in the playtest thread this one only had two slots and I don't want to steal any points from lobster.

I took off the last 'open' slot because I wanted any new sign-ups to go to Black Mask or someone else that was hurting. Felt (and still feel) like I had a pretty good shot at closing these guys in two.

If you've got some results to post, though, put em up. If we feel like your results are enough to bring these guys home, I'll talk to Lobster and see where he is with his tests.

SG...don't worry about stealing points...all data is helpful and we don't make a habbit of not letting someone test so even if Lob needs a few more days we will wait. We give signups a lot of slack as we don't want anyone to lose points.

Game Summary: The Scarlet Spiders really shine as a replacement for the SHIELD Agents in low point games, or on maps where Kill Box is difficult to setup, so I gave the Spiders both here. Two of them became part of the drop team with Fury and Dugan while one stayed behind as he'd catch up soon enough anyway. The SHIELD team managed to clear out the HYDRA Agents pretty efficiently, the Spiders worked particularly well with Dugan as they don't really mind jumping into the thick of things to give him his Commando Back-up attack. However, even in a not super optimized build, the Cosmic Cube is still complete jank and eventually Skull managed to pull a come-back victory.

Despite the loss, the Iron Spiders felt good here. They've got a big vulnerability to auto-wounds, but outside of that, they've got a durability and mobility advantage that lets them play a different role from the SHIELD Agents. Very fun squad to play with.

Unit Summary:

• Damage Done (Normal Attack): 3 Hydra Agents and 1 Infiltrator.
• Swing Line 4:Used almost entirely as a response to attacks through Iron Spiders, most of the time they moved on their turn it really didn't make a difference what method of travel they used.
• Iron Spiders: Helped block around 12 attacks, plus two or so where the defense boosts weren't needed but the free Swing Line came in handy.
• Damage Taken: Lost a man to a whiff versus a Hydra Agent, then two from Cosmic Cube wound transfers.

Result Hail Hydra wins with a 3 life Red Skull.

Units: Agents of ANNOYANCE: Scarlet Spiders (150), Nick Fury (220), Spider-Woman (210), Mockingbird (130), Mystique I (165)- 875 total vs Carol Danvers and the Marvelous Vampire Tree: Ms Marvel (350), Morbius (250), Groot (275), - 875 total

Game Summary: Trying an Agent army where everyone has a defense power of some stripe. The Scarlet Spiders stayed behind while Nick and the Girls became the drop team since the Spiders could catch up pretty quickly. Once they got into the fray, their low attack meant that they pretty much had to pick on Morbius. Morby was not having a good game today and he went down pretty quickly, after that though, the Spiders were basically just blockers. They did a good job of gumming things up, but eventually Groot and Carol just smashed them. The Agents eventually pulled out the win, all the girl's defense powers managed to trigger pretty reliably, but it was long after the Spiders went down.

Unit Summary:

• Damage Done (Normal Attack): 4 wounds to Morbius. Failed to do anything to Groot a heck of a lot of times.
• Swing Line 4:Used almost entirely as a response to attacks through Iron Spiders, most of the time they moved on their turn it really didn't make a difference what method of travel they used.
• Iron Spiders: Helped block around 6 attacks, effectively caused a wound to Morbius by blocking his attack once.
• Damage Taken: Lost a man to a Groot slap, then later on a back to back Groot slap and Carol Carate Chop.

Result Agents of ANNOYANCE wins with a 2 life Spider-Woman and 1 life Mockingbird.

Overall Thoughts: The Spiders make a great alternate for the SHIELD Agents in certain cases. Their ability to function as 'super Deathreavers' of a sort can be very useful for the Agent Heroes. The price seems fine.

I PM'd Lobs to see where he was with his tests and he said he hadn't started them yet. I don't mind waiting, but I feel like we're good here and if he's going to take the time to run a couple games for us, they might be better put to running a different unit. I don't want to penalize Lobs, but I feel like we should direct attention where it's more needed. Would the other Heroes be okay with letting him sign up for something else without the 1 point penalty? Or do people still want to see more games here?

I'm good with moving on either way. If he still wants to test, I see no reason why he can't still test and we'll add them later and still give him the points, but the design itself moves forward in the mean time as long as we have enough data.

I'd recommend reaching out and seeing what his timetable is. Be honest and tell him we have him about nailed down so if he's not going to have time over the weekend he can switch over to something else. He doesn't seem like the type fishing to see unreleased designs like some have been. He seems pretty straight up.
