The Book of Long Ruin
The Book of Long Ruin C3G IMAGE SIDEKICK SANCTUM EXCLUSIVE 1 HALLOWEEN HORRORS The object used for this unit is a Heroscape figure from the Rise of the Valkyrie set. Its name is Long Ruin _________________________________________________________________ Object Bio - Amidst many civilizations, can be seen ruins from a town long since forgotten. Although no one resides here anymore, everyone can still enjoy the cover they provide, until they are destroyed that is! _________________________________________________________________ -Type of Destructible Object-

NAME = LONG RUIN

Cool. I like the Super Strength immunity here. A3n recently commented on how annoying it was having all these easy ways to bypass Superman's defense and this definitely keeps the ruins as a light touch on the game which I prefer.
As a note, we'll want to split it into two threads when these objects are done, but I like the condensed thread right now for commenting. |

Sounds good to me. I'll make an extra thread for the Short Ruin when we get to that point.
I riffed off the Destructible Wall Section and the Warehouse Ruin for their Defense and Life. In some "fun" games with several Ruins, (4 of each in a maze type set up) they went down kinda fast, I remember reading somewhere that a new write up for the Wall Section and/or Warehouse is in the works. I'd like to increase their life or defense if the new Wall Section or Warehouse write ups has higher life/defense than the previous versions. C3G team building links. |

Here's a slight rewording. Also, I'd double the Life on both ruins as I think they should stick around for a little while.
DEGRADING COVER Whenever this Destructible Object receives one or more wounds from a normal or special attack, the player controlling the attacking figure may immediately choose a figure adjacent to this Destructible Object who does not have Super Strength and roll 1 unblockable attack die against the chosen figure. |

Throw able is just so problematic with these, how to replace them on the field, the potential for cutting off parts off the field is just to much for a simple DO. It would be a ton of fun to do, But unless someone has an idea to do it simply, I'd like to leave it off.
EDIT: With a size of Large 6 they would be throwable, I'll need to edit that off, when breathing period is over. C3G team building links. |

I made the Breakable Wall Section easier to destroy in my write up so that it wouldn't be so useless to try and attack it. It just has 4 L and 4 D right now without an automatic shield or anything. I haven't started the thread or even drafted the design but that's my plan right now.

In that case you'd need to drop the "Large 6."
I could see Life going up a BIT, but I don't want to see it too huge... I have DOs that have a lot of life because frankly I like them to be destructible, and I never bother attacking them otherwise. JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!

The marvel warehouse ruin as 4 life and 4 defense but cannot receive wounds until the breakable wall is destroyed, which also has 4 life and 4 defense. So, in effect, the warehouse ruin has 8 life and 4 defense.
Perhaps the large ruin should have 7 life and the small one have 5 life? And I agree about not giving them a size so they can't be thrown. |
