The Book of Jotun
The Book of Jotun If you cannot see the Army Card graphic, check Hasbro's Unit Page for stats and special powers, plus "character biography" and other non-game unit info. Raknar's Vision - "Heroes of Lindesfarme"
Spoiler Alert!
Character Bio: "Halgo, Demicus!" Jotun called, as the many barbarians of the forest planet, Feylund, finally blanketed him with enough ropes to pull him to the ground. Never before had the colossal giant been in fear for his life. "Brothers, save me!" Jotun cried out, as one of the ruthless barbarians climbed to Jotun’s chest and raised his spear skyward to finish their evil task. But fate intervened just in time as Ullar summoned Jotun to his cause, thereby forever placing the mighty giant in his debt. I always use Jotun to wipe out dragons because he has enough life to get there and his attack is very effective.
Also use him to throw people over water. (duh, I know) Garet Jaxx's Home, the official Heroscape Storage Site. |

This guy is a monster. I never knew how deadly he was until just now, when I first saw his card. Eight dice for one attack, and then you get that frickin' ridiculous attack that hits everyone around your target, too? So. Much. Death. How the Hell are you supposed to stop this guy? Well, obviously, range attacks, but the guy has the most powerful range attack you could ask for! He can throw a swinging Drake, Carr, or get the Krav Maga up to high ground. Truly a deadly piece. Worth every ridiculous point.

Question: Can you throw your own units? If so then can you throw one of your own characters out of Q9's grip or say throw them over water (I know they may be damaged)

yes, you may throw your own units - one of the best ways to use this is by throwing slow moving ranged figures up to height (where you don't have to worry about them taking throwing damage). yes you may throw a figure engaged by an enemy figure without taking any leaving engagement attacks (as it says on the card). I think you may have intended to ask about Major X17 here instead of Q9 though ... if I'm right I'll clarify that one too. X17 (as well as the gladitrons) have the cyberclaw power, which cannot be circumvented by any special power on any card, including throw. Meaning if a friendly figure is locked down by cyberclaw, there's no throwing them out of it. Finally, yes you can throw them over water, but I'm not sure I'd risk the damage. Why not just throw them to the very edge of a large body of water so they don't take damage and then let them climb out of it on their next activation? |

Re: The Book of Jotun
I used Jotun the other day in a 3-player 1500 point game. He smashed through one of my opponents. He destroyed at least 5 heroes( including Krug) without receiving a wound
