The figure used for this unit is a HeroClix figure from The Brave and the Bold. The names of the three figures with this sculpt are Amazon, Amazon Bana-Mighdall, and Phillipus.

Character Bio: Gladiators were symbols of the violence and power of ancient cultures. Among the many men that dominated the Colosseum, a few females managed to break through. Armed with a shield and a long javelin, they were versatile in combat, able to throw their spear long distances or stab powerfully at close range.

SKEWER
When an Achillean Gladiatrix attacks an adjacent figure, you may choose one small or medium figure that is adjacent to the defending figure but is not adjacent to that Achillean Gladiatrix. If the defending figure is destroyed by that Achillean Gladiatrix's attack, the chosen figure receives one wound.

JAVELIN
After moving and before attacking with an Achillean Gladiatrix, you may roll the 20-sided die. If you roll a 16 or higher, add 3 to that Achillean Gladiatrix's Range value for the duration of her turn.

-Rulings and Clarifications-

Q: If an Achillean Gladiatrix uses Skewer on a Frost Giant of Morh and destroys him, which happens first: the extra wound from Skewer, or the wounds from the Frost Giant's Dying Swipe roll?
A: Dying Swipe. Dying Swipe happens before the Frost Giant is removed from the map, whereas Skewer only triggers after the Frost Giant is destroyed.
