I will say, I noticed that the OM movement was added and the more I think about it, the more I kinda miss the old version? It added some tension on if you wanted to trigger Saiyan Transformation early or if you wanted to risk losing OMs. Now I’m not sure I’d ever pop the transformation early, since there’s really no downside to letting base Goku get defeated first.
Trying to keep parity with the Great Ape transformtipn does make sense, but I think there’s also some logic in the idea that the Ape change is a natural/reflexive thing, while going Super Saiyan is something that takes energy and focus. Idk, definitely not trying to push too hard - I did vote Yea after all - but just wanted to mention it! |

I agree the tension is mostly gone, though there are scenarios in which you'd still want to transform early (to get a stronger attacker out earlier). Sometimes getting that double activation of 7 attack or a double Kamehameha to hit the whole enemy team is worth losing base Goku for. It's a rare scenario though, for sure.
For me, having to transform early to avoid the lost OMs often felt like a feel-bad. You pay 300 points for a figure and barely use it before replacing it. And if you don't transform early, and lose OMs, Goku can really get pummeled down, which is painful for what is then 680 points of your army. I'm not dead-set against reverting back or anything, but that's my reasoning for why I switched it up in 2.0! |

I've had similar experiences to Archie where I either get stuck with lost OMs or transform when I could have used that last little bit of life on Goku before he transformed. Which often led to me just not drafting base Goku unless he was the central point of the army itself.

Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Actually, we probably want the unstoppable language here and on Vegeta since we’re adding it to the Phoenixes. Don’t want Lockdown to negate the transformations.
