anyone know why the picture has them with no stickers on their shields? and if any were released that way?

That's the set that was released in Germany, not sure about the rest of Europe?

That's kind of cool. It would be neat to get several of those sets to go with the Romans I already have and have 2 different legions.

To the best of my knowledge the Romans were released in western Europe as a bilingual set with both English and German cards in the same pack. It does not look like one of those. I have seen them and the packs look different with both English and German text on the outside. And the shields all had stickers. It doesn't make sense to do both bilingual and native German. I know that not making sense is not proof that Hasbro didn't do it but still.

To bad the picture, especially the wording, isn't any clearer.

I think wave 1 was also released in France\Italy and those may have been bilingual too but I'm not sure. Maybe a member from one of theses countries could shed some more light on this
