DeadEye's Custom Objects New Hot Dog Dice Tower! 5/23/08

Hot Dog Dice Tower Page 5

Swamp Bridge Page 2

Jandar Bridge Page 1

Thanks for viewing

Heres one of my first bridges.

I started with green planting foam (for fake flowers) as my base.
I used some of Ch1can0's methods, since he is where my inspiration came from.

I still have to add, a 2nd tower, ladders for the towers, sides, texture, paint, and objects to it.

I made the bridge for a friend Mattias Maccebeus (a member here)

Info:

Towers are 6 high and i am working on a 3 runged ladder (each rung=2spaces high)
Middle has a height of 2
Ends have a height of 1
For the texture i plan to add fish rock (either crushed up or as it is) to give it a stone look.
I wil paint it then.
And i wil also use Rauldulfr's idea on using paper to make a hex look like stone.

Heres after i started to harden the flower blocks

Heres close to the end (right before painting)
(srry for the wait, had to find them in my dads thousand picure files)

Overview

Side

Close up of hexes (used Raud's idea)

Dragon head on each end of the bridge oposite of towers

Now heres the finished product
(Matthias Macebeus now owns the bridge)

Overview

Ladders

Flag on one tower

Axes on the other

Dragon head

Sheild on each tower

Thanks for lookin!

I also am working on a Removable Tower Top/Outpost

Made entirely out of popsicle sticks and craft glue.

If u have any ideas on what my tower can have as lets say "powers" let me know.

I am still going to stain it. Dont know how dark though. I am leaning towards a lighter stain.

Thanks for stoppin by!

Heres another Bridge i made as a prize for the Nebraska Skirmish on Dec. 8 in Omaha Neb.
So if u want a chance to get this come on by and join the tourney

Theme: Swamp Bridge (for SotM)

Thanks to Ch1can0 for the inspiration on many of my bridges.

This is my custom bridge that will be a prize at the Nebraska Skirmish on Dec. 8

It still needs work ex. stain, added texture things, more stuff

I scarred it (probly can't see it) to make it look old and hastily put together. But the stain will bring it out when its done.

If you got any ideas tell me! I may not listen but i am always open for ideas.

Nice work, I especially like the tower. I have a question though-- How does the green flower foam hold up being as fragile as it is?

Looking good! I'm curious about the fagility of the foam as well. Do you plan on doing something to make it more durable?

Yes, i have seen it be a little fragile. yet it isn't to bad if i cut it right. I don't know of anything that would "harden" the foam. If u guys got an idea id be glad to hear it.

I've been using a mixture of Mod Podge, glue and water. I mix it to the consistency of whole milk and use several coats so it soaks in real good. But, I havn't made anything big yet either.

I like that removable tower and might try something like that myself. They all look inspirational.
