The Lawmaster allows for some nice extra attacks and protection from engagement for its Driver (one of the Brit-Cits). Both sides have pretty awful attack dice initially, but the Lawmaster is the first figure to fall. The Batfam take out 2 Judges, but then the last Brit-Cit kills Azrael and Nite Owl. Robin doesn’t roll a single shield and falls to 2 attacks, then the Judges kite Oracle for the win, though she kills the Brit-Cit.

This time Dredd drives the Lawmaster. Rogues do some damage to the Brit-Cits, but then Dredd enters on the Lawmaster, and wrecks the Rogues pretty badly. Cold falls early, as does Weather Wizard. Abra Kadabra destroys the Lawmaster.

Abra Kadabra takes out Dredd and a Brit-Cit next, though both he and Top are wounded. A Brit-Cit kills Top. The Brit-Cits kill Abra.


Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Hershey (0 wounds), and 2 Brit-Cits (one had 1 wound) win.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Cool design, glad the Lawmaster is finally here! The Lawmaster is a nice power-up to any Judge. It provides a little protection and extra attack, not to mention the extra movement, which is really helpful since the Judges are normally so slow. Never used Autonomous Function since the Lawmaster was always destroyed before its Driver.

Two wins, but neither was really due to the Lawmaster. I think the Lawmaster is fine at 145 points.

Winter Soldier picks Cap. Judge Dredd, Judge Anderson and Brit-Cit start on Lawmasters.
R1 – All 3 Lawmasters/Judges move out. Cap SA Brit-Cit, Judge Anderson uses her x-marker. Winter Soldier hit Brit-Cit for a wound. Winter Soldier is a Criminal. Judge Dredd attacks a tree with his High Explosive SA killing the tree and dropping it on Captain America, Winter Soldier takes 2 wounds, Cap blocks it. Dredd attacks with his Winter with Armour Piercing SA doing 2 wounds, and his Lawmaster attacks Winter with its SA, Winter blocks it. Punisher attacks Brit-Cit 3 times, all 3 are blocked. Dredd kills Winter with his his High Explosive SA, attacks Cap with the Lawmaster(4 skulls), Cap blocks it. Thor attacks Brit-Cit with his SA its blocked.

R3 – Brit Cit attacks Thor with the Armour Piercing SA and does a wound. The Lawmaster follows it up but its blocked. Thor swings at Brit-Cit again killing him. Judge Hershey move to and climbs on the open Lawmaster and uses her Armour Piercing SA on Thor and a tree(rolled 1 skull) for no damage. She attacked with her Lawmaster and it was also blocked. Thor attacks Judge Dredd rolling 5 skulls, Judge Anderson blocks it. Dredd attacks Thor with his Armour Piercing SA Thor blocks it. Dredd does 1 wound to Thor with his Normal attack. Bike Cannon: Used whenever possible, such a good power with its Judge specific bonus.

Autonomous Function: Was set up for it to activate but Judge Hershey was killed before it could kick it.

Turbo-Boosters: Used round 1 to get into position.

All 3 Brit-Cit Judges start on Lawmasters.
R1 – Brit-Cit(Green) hit Wrecker for 2 wounds with his Lawmaster. A Brit-Cit uses its Armour Piercing SA and does 1 wounds to Wrecker and 2 wounds to Thunderball. The same Judge hits Wrecker for 2 more wounds with his Lawmmaster. Thunderball hits Blue for 2 wounds. Piledriver takes lava damage, a Lawmaster does not.
R2 - Piledriver attacks down on Red, its Blocked. Wrecker attacks and kills Blue. Thunderball does 3 wounds to Brit-Cit Green killing him. Judge Hershey moves forward and attacks with her Armour Piercing SA doing 3 wounds to Piledriver and 1 wound to Thunderball. The Wrecking Crew keeps their hot rolling as Thunderball attacks Judge Hershey and One-Shots her and loses order marker 3. Bulldozer moves forward. Thunderball climbs onto a Lawmaster.
R3 – Bulldozer moves forward 7 spaces and hits the last Brit-Cit Judge for 5 skulls and the Brit-Cit blanks the roll to end the game.

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Wrecker 5 wounds/1 life left, Piledriver 4 wounds/2 life left, Thunderball 3 wounds/3 life left, Bulldozer full 6 life left.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: 145 seems right. Great fit for the Judges. Probably too expensive to use outside of their builds.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: The Lawmasters are pretty cool. I used 3 of them in both games but I wonder if that was 1 too many. The double attack with the Judge and Lawmaster is hard to turn down but maybe 1 less VDO and a couple more Brit-Cit Judges would be a better option. Turbo Boosters is great for moving out into position especially with Judge Hershey's movement. Never got Autonomous Function to work but that was because the Wrecking Crew were on fire with their rolls. Fun unit to play with. No changes recommended.

I don't know why I hadn't thought of this sooner, but is there a thematic reason why Dark Judges don't get the boost as well?

Having not read the comics, I wasn't sure if like Dark Judge Joker would be able to pull up on a Lawmaster.

Dark Judges teleport around from other dimensions and such. Dont think they ever really use Lawmasters (outside of that one prequel thing).

Yep,.they are completely different and from another dimension.
They either use teleporters or just walk. Or if their bodies are destroyed they can fly around in spirit form.

It is a little tricky sometimes trying to set up an AP SA and an HEx SA.
