Hopefully I can keep this going and speed up the playtesting process a bit for everyone.

For Ronin and I being the main playtesters, we can both only do 1 playtest for each other's designs, so we need at least 1 more tester to run them. Whereas, anyone else's designs, Ronin and I together make for 2 sets of tests on their design. Of course, if we end up needing 3 sets, we'll need another person to step up to the plate.

So having a 3-4 other testers testing somewhat consistently, maybe one set every week or two, helps a bunch. Yoda has recently gotten back into the mix. Yourself as well. With you 2, along with Soundwarp and Lazy, we should be in good shape testing wise to finish things out that Ronin and I test. Solid combo. Things should get through quicker, leaving less room for things stalling in the Public Testing phase for upwards of a month.

You're doing great. This project isn't about me, Ronin is the guy carrying this thing into the future if we can say that about any particular person. However, it's a group effort for sure, so I appreciate the help.

Patriot's looking pretty good to me, but I know @johnny139 wanted to test him and get his hands on the faction. So I may just leave him in testing for now, since we've got some time.

Yeah, leave him for now. If I don't manage it by the end of the month you can leave me behind, but the more hands on a new faction the better.

Honestly I am not sure what can be gleamed from more tests.

If I ran more it would be against mostly/all figures in the 140 point range.
I do not think he can drop anymore just because of his stats and it is hard to justify increasing him too much since his synergy is limited to a few figures currently.

Agreed on wondering if more tests are necessary. Seems like a pretty well set point value. Though, I'm certainly not going to turn down someone offering to run tests, just thinking maybe that willingness could go to a different design needing tests.

At any rate, I removed him from the Playtesting thread to avoid public members signing up for him, and wouldn't want it to come down to the wire.

I think Patriot is pretty well set, but I think it's good to get another impression of the faction as a whole. I might try to round out the original line-up at some point down the line, so I wouldn't mind more input on the group.

Game Summary:

Retrying an earlier game with Patriot added in. Basically Patriot and the girls formed the first wave, with Speed in Jonas hanging back. Despite not having any true bonding, the army felt very cohesive. Stature being able to ride around with Pat and then switch to a beatstick/bulwark was very useful and Kate can dish out some heat once boosted by Rookie Tactician. One Shield Defense even kept him around to be able to boost Speed for a bit once the rest of the first went down (though it didn't really matter). Ultimately it was a solid showing from the Rookies, though admittedly it was helped by Living Mummy being Mister Butter-Bandages for most of the game.

Unit Summary:

• Damage Done (Normal Attack): None
• Rookie Tactician: Juiced Kate and Stature for most of their lifespans, Speed got in on it for a wee bit before Pat bit the dust.
• Throwing Stars SA: Not used
• One Sheila Defense: Disincentivized attacking him most of the time, absorbed 2 wounds from an attack by Grundy, failed hard on the next attack, didn't matter in the next one
• Damage Taken: Killed in three attacks by Grundy (1, 3, 1)

Result: Jonas hangs out at full health a bit outside of his start zone while Speed barely clings to one life.

Game Summary:

So yeah, Pat is just straight up discount HasCap here. Not a complicated army, it's basically just J Stew moving the whole team up and then Kate nuking people with super boosted double attack until they get close enough for Stature to get some action too. The interconnected nature of the Rookies let the army function pretty smoothly despite their low number here, but really there are plenty of variations of this Stew pod you can do. Pat being cheap does make it easier to get the full free-blocker trio though, and it helps that one of them is a Rookie. Ultimately, this team didn't have a great answer to Invisible Woman since Kate's attack really wasn't high enough to clear +4 defense reliably even after the boosts, but the range did force the F4 to slow roll a bit and eventually Stature broke ranks to go after Sue and managed to kill her after surviving to her next turn. After that Hail Mary the rest of the foursome went down pretty quick.

Unit Summary:

• Damage Done (Normal Attack): None
• Rookie Tactician: Double juiced Kate with Bane and juiced Stature for most of the game.
• Throwing Stars SA: Not used
• One Shield Defense: Never came up as it just wasn't worth attacking him compared to other parts of the team.
• Damage Taken: None

Result:Pat lives with no wounds as does Bane and Atom, Kate isn't as lucky and sits one away from death.

Overall: I really like how this faction feels, lots of interplay here. Pat seems fine at 140 to me, seems about right considering he's a weaker/limited HasCap on every level.
