What is definition of undead??

I am getting ready to play a tournment and needed to know what constitutes a zombie being able to replace with another zombie after a kill??? Undead does not apply.....what is undead??? does this include syborgs???? if a zombie kills a syborg is he able to replace a previous killed zombie???

Undead=skeletons, vampires, werewolves and the like.

If a zombie kills a cyborg, you get to place a previously killed zombie, as long as the figure is a small or medium sized figure.

werewolves=/=undead(at least in heroscape)
It says undead on the "race" portion of the card, where human would be for humans.

Werewolves aren't undead, but they're monstrous and inhuman enough that we let them into our meetings without too many questions.

Just wanted to emphasize temp.nerd's clear response. If it says "undead" as the race then it is undead.
A phoenix could be undead, a mummy could not be, all that matters is what race Heroscape has assigned to that unit.

I agree with the race classification on the card is the determining factor. I did think it was odd that they allowed soulborgs to become zombies the first time I read the card though. Them being machines an all. Maybe Hollywood can show me how it works in the next zombie movie.

Well, maybe they aren't entirely made of metal, and have human parts. That could be why they're called "soul"borgs. I can imagine a horde of zombies surrounding DW9000, and ripping his life force out of his thin aluminum plate armor.

I assumed that it was less of an actual zombification and more of some sort of magic that required the soul of a being about the same size as a zombie.

Just couldn't resist. That is a weird one, and you can either come up with a good justification on your own or just accept that Heroscape is a game, not real life... where there ARE zombies after all... working in every office building the world over.
