Re: The Book of Leela (Seva-Teem-ing)
They were pretty solid as far as Companions go.
Brave and able to hold their own even when separated. The 1st Doctor has really grown on me over time. I also think the original intro is the best out of all the different versions. |

Re: The Book of Leela (Seva-Teem-ing)
Where are y'all watching the older stuff at? I want to watch the Gundam episode so I'll have new weird Who pseudo crossover to do after Octus.

Re: The Book of Leela (Seva-Teem-ing)
Twitch has done a few marathons in the past where they’ll just show the whole series, but that’s a rare thing. I think Tornado is catching them on local TV, and there’s a streaming service called Britbox that I’m pretty sure has most of the serials. (Since DW is the main selling point of the whole streaming service.)
I’ll be honest, I watched most of mine through uploads on Vimeo, but that was also when I was first getting into the classic stuff circa 2011 and the only way to really watch them officially was single-serial DVDs, some of which had been out-of-print for 10 years. I personally still have no ethical qualms with watching 30-50 year old British public broadcasting stuff for free online, but morality varies. Quote:

Re: The Book of Leela (Seva-Teem-ing)
RetroTV is the station that I watch it on.
8pm weeknights. Two episodes a night. They run the entire original series in sequence. It is also on Saturday and Sunday, one of those days they run four episodes in a row. Saturday and Sunday are both on different points in the series than the weekday episodes, so essentially you have three different timelines running at the same time. |

I've got a video downloader and am trying to work out how to burn the things I download to DVDs, without luck so far. Mostly I use it to pick up old programs from YouTube or Dailymotion that lack a DVD release - BBC programs mostly, like old history documentaries, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Worst Jobs in History (highly recommend that, btw - also trying to find the old Have I Got News For Yous as well, with less success so far), as well as some other stuff like the U.S. Whose Line is it Anyway? IMO, if it doesn't have an available DVD release for me to enjoy it in a way that's totally kosher, I am well within my rights to download it, so, I get you. |

Re: The Book of Leela (Seva-Teem-ing)
That is not a bad place to start Soundwarp.
The 4th Doctor is my favorite and where I started. Bad thing is that is the final series in a season long story. It does have K-9, so robot love. Leela travelled with the 4th. |
