Yeah, I think a point drop could definitely be in the cards. I just tend to be conservative with this kind of passive disruption thing.

He's pretty straightforward to test, so hopefully it should be pretty easy to see how he's doing.

This poor guy needs some love. I'm not sure I'll get around to a test this week, but if I do, he's got my priority.

Yeah, he could use a test or two. I think he'll go through testing pretty quickly, once he gets a report or two. He's a pretty simple design.

Unfortunately we're forming a log jam due to a noticeable decrease in testing. We were doing well but I think the influx of designs is beginning to outweigh the influx we had in testers for that couple month period. Some house cleaning is in order otherwise we're all going to be waiting for some time. For me, a design sitting in Public Testing for more than a couple weeks is where it really starts to feel noticeably slow.

C3G STANDARD PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM

NAME OF THE PLAYTEST UNIT: Starfox

Army Test
Map: Turret Rocks.
Units: Starfox (270), Star-Lord, Captain America, and Changeling (950) vs. Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Animal Man, and Firestorm (950)

Spoiler Alert!

My first ever game with Star-Lord/Captain America. Yikes.
A natural 20 right off the bat lets the Adventurers sprint ahead, and Star-Lord moves up. Animal Man moves and Invisible Woman joins Mister Fantastic and Firestorm on one of the mountains. Starfox moves into a good position, then another 20 from Mister Fantastic sends the Adventurers on a rampage. Animal Man engages Starfox, isn’t distracted, and hits him for 2 wounds. Firestorm flies over and teams up with Inivisible Woman for a collective total of 4 wounds on Star-Lord after more misses on Euphoria Distraction. Changeling flies up to Animal Man, but whiffs.
Initiative to the Foxes and Captain America comes up to smash in Animal Man’s face…except Cockroach Durabiltiy means it’s 1 wound instead of a killing blow. Firestorm uses his Matrix and kills Star-Lord, moving some Order Markers onto Starfox. Mister Fantastic wounds Captain America, and Starfox disengages successfully, flies up the mountain, and smashes Invisible Woman for 3 wounds. Firestorm can’t use his Matrix and misses Cap, who also dodges Mr. Fantastic’s whack. Starfox kills Invisible Woman, then Firestorm wounds Cap to end the round.
Adventuer Initiative results in a 1! Mr. Fantastic misses his swing, and Cap wastes no time hitting Animal Man for a wound. Firestorm ends Cap with his Matrix, moving the X to Starfox. Euphoria Distraction finally hits and prevents Mister Fantastic from attacking, though! Meanwhile, Changeling goes gorilla to wound Animal Man, who then dies trying to attack into a porcupine! Mister Fantastic is distracted once more, so Starfox wounds him. Changeling is wounded by Firestorm, and Mr. Fantastic wounds Starfox.
Adventurer initiative. 2 wounds to Changeling from Firestorm causes Changeling to fly to the rock and wound Mister Fantastic. 2 more wounds onto Changeling from Firestorm is followed by some misses all around. Changeling takes another and deals one back to Fantastic. After a few more back and forths, including an entire turn skipped for the Adventurers thanks to Euphoria Distraction, Starfox takes out the team and wins.

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Starfox w/ 3 wounds.

Units: Starfox (270), Darkseid, and Arthrian Invaders x3 (1190) vs. Yellow Lantern (Sinestro), Yellow Lantern (Scarecrow), Yellow Lantern (Lyssa Drak), Sinestro Corps Soldier x2, and Beast Boy (T-Rex) (1190).

Spoiler Alert!

Starfox begins the game moving into position on level 2. Beast Boy moves on the opposite side. The Arthrian Invaders all move ahead of Darkseid, then Scarecrow moves up and blasts an Invader. Sinestro Corps 1 moves. The Invaders waste no time engaging Scarecrow, who takes 2 wounds from a bad defensive call. Lyssa Drak moves up but misses an Invader, then Corps 2 moves and misses too.
Sinestro Corps win initative and Scarecrow misses every special attempt. Corps 1 comes in and kills an Invader to make up for it, then Starfox gets right into the action with a missed attack. Sinestro flies up, isn’t distracted, and reels into Darkseid, missing. Corps 2 misses and isn’t distracted. An Invader hits Corps 2 for 2 wounds, then Darkseid has no trouble getting a battery off Sinestro. Corps 2 loses a marker on defense and Darkseid misses on the next turn.
Sinestro Corps gets initiative thanks to Lyssa and Scarecrow takes out an Invader. The Invaders team up and kill Corps 2, and Darkseid hits Sinestro for a wound. Neither Lyssa or Corps 1 are distracted, and they both takes out Invaders. The Invader that’s left spawns a new one, and Darkseid hits Sinestro again. Lyssa misses Darkseid and Corps 1 misses Starfox. Invaders multiply again. Darkseid misses at round’s end.
Sinestro Corps take initiative to no one’s surprise, allowing Scarecrow to move up and miss his special. Corps 1 hits Starfox for a wound, then the Invaders decide it’s time to attack Scarecrow, dealing no wounds. Darkseid continues to claw at Sinestro’s markers. Scarecrow can’t get anything done, nor can Corps 1. Invaders miss, and Darkseid gets yet another marker. Scarecrow finally sees fortune and eliminates the rest of the Invaders in one turn! Corps 1 misses Starfox while Darkseid gets Sinestro’s last marker.
Scarecrow moves but gets distracted as does the Corps Soldier. Darkseid finally has an opening and slays Sinestro easily. Scarecrow dishes out Darkseid 4 wounds, but Corps 1 is distracted still. Darkseid gets a marker from Corps 1, and Scarecrow continues his hunt, but misses. A few more misses ends that round.
Scarecrow hits Darkseid twice more, then Darkseid gets the Soldier’s last marker. Darkseid blocks and otherwise killing blow from Scarecrow, then eliminates the Corps Soldier in one shot. Lyssa isn’t distracted and misses Darkseid anyways, whilst Darkseid starts eating away at Scarecrow’s markers.
Darkseid kills Scarecrow after more exchanges of attacks and some failed distraction rolls from Starfox. Lyssa just can’t hit Darkseid, who eats at her markers too.
It doesn’t take long for Darkseid to take out Lyssa, causing Beast Boy to come into the fray. He chomps Darkseid to death, making it a 1v1 brawl! Reluctant Hero means it’s no problem for Starfox, who kills Beast Boy pretty handily over a couple of turns.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Major, major question: Does moving 0 count as moving? For the purposes of these games, I presumed yes, Euphoria Distraction is rolled if the opponent moves 0 and remains with 2 spaces of Starfox. In game 1, Euphoria took a while to get going, but once it did it came on strong and the luck evened out if not in fair favor of Starfox. The cluster of the Adventurers made great fodder for Euphoria Distraction, and the basic attacks, event without boosts, did formidable damage. In game 2, Euphoria Distraction missed a whole lot more (and showed more average numbers given the 15+), but Starfox stills bashed some faces in.

Reluctant Hero got a lot of use, especially in game 1 where there were clear good targets for the Adventurers to be taking out. In game 2, Darkseid was at 1 life for round after round, but he could be overloaded with Order Markers without a worry thanks to Reluctant Hero.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: If Euphoria Distraction works the way I think it does, Starfox could use a significant bump, perhaps to 300 points. If it doesn’t trigger on 0 movement, he’s still coming in hot, so I’d say 280 or 285.

Thanks for the tests! You're right about how Euphoria Distraction works. Surprised to see him do so well, since he was underperforming a little for me. Suppose he lives and dies on that d20, though. I can give him a bump up to 280-290 for the next tester.

Minor note, Reed can't activate Firestorm. Not a big deal, though. Adventurer synergy has some big threats in it. Not like chucking Firestorm into the Rogues or something.
