Character Bio - Deep within Africa there lies a secret city, hidden away for countless years by its unlikely inhabitants - gorillas. When a spaceship crashed near the apes, they were given great intelligence and even low-level telepathic abilities. Using their newfound brilliance they constructed Gorilla City, a paradise with technology far beyond that of humanity. Since its discovery by the Flash, the inhabitants of Gorilla City have slowly approached the world stage, but their fierce distrust of outsiders makes the transition difficult.

How many figures are in the squad? I think they'll need a point raise, 4 attack and 6 (likely) defense is pretty huge for a squad, plus bonding. Unless it's a 2 figure squad, I think then it'd be pretty perfect. But three might be a bit much.

Otherwise, very solid design! I can't see much to talk about on this one.

Ah, good point; three figures. They could be worth more - frankly I have no idea, but low-to-mid 100s was my best guess.

Oh, and I was wondering whether or not they should have super strength. They're not really any stronger than the average gorilla, but I'm not sure if that counts, y'know?

I think it would be nice to call them Gorilla CITY Warriors though, not just Gorilla Warriors, uhm, cause that´s what they are! They aren´t just any old Gorilla Warriors, but warriors from Gorilla City...

I'd like to see this be a choose a Unique Simian to be their leader at the start of the game, rather than just any Simian. Otherwise, everything looks solid, although I think Telepathic Link might need a more descriptive title. I assume it is supposed to be showing their aptitude at receiving commands from Telepathic commanders? Maybe Telepathic Strategy or something?

That is a good point, since they are mechanically from Gorilla City, but I like the vaguer name in case someone wanted to use them as more generic gorillas.

But I could go either way on it honestly, depends on what the masses say.

I feel like it's a lot simpler to go with straight Unique Simian Hero bonding. Forcing a choice would be okay too, but I like the flexibility, if there's ever room for a full-on Gorilla army.

As for the Telepaths, I think of it as having eyes on the back of your head, so to speak. Three heads are better than one, and so they're able to react more quickly and defend more efficiently with other warriors/telepaths to help them.

I could go with something better though if anyone has ideas.

Sorry about the double post, but I think there's a problem with these guys and Grodd:

Their bonding would only activate after taking a turn with Grodd... but with Grodd's mind control powers, he'd actually have to choose between taking control of another hero or these guys (since if he takes a turn with the other hero, the Gorilla Warriors lose their chance, and if he takes a turn with Gorilla Warriors, well... obviously his turn ends and he can't use his Cognizant Control).

If that is the intention, it's actually kind of cool and could help balance these guys... but it will probably require a FAQ as it is not immediately apparent (at least not to dummies like me).

An interesting point. I'd assume that both would activate (first you end Grodd's turn, use Cognizant control, take control, that turn ends, it reverts to the "end of Grodd's turn" phase, and then triggers the Warriors), but I honestly have no idea.

How do the more rule-minded read it?
