Re: The Book of Star-Lord

Maybe a deep cover agent like Ward could be a guy that you could send over to the other team and screw up team chemistry.

Nah. This is one of the easiest ways to screw with Star-Lord synergy.

~Dysole, pretty sure it's also the funniest way to screw with Star-Lord synergy

johnny already suggested that.

E-Ray's easy once you have it, but no-one can start with it besides Apocalypse, so your only hope is to just find one somewhere.

Skim Milk

That's what I get for a quick scan. Having Apocalypse in your army is much easier than the other suggestions. It's not an easy boost to get rid of which is one of the reasons it's a very useful power.

Also much more expensive than the other suggestions.

~ Lazy Orang, wishing there was a cheaper Simian with an E-Ray, and not for the first time (though that would probably be broken - still, one can dream).

Re: The Book of Star-Lord

Aside from Werewolves or Apoc's E-ray, there's the figures that you can potentially hand over to your opponent. The only one of them that has a common species/class is Creeper (human). Obviously Creeper's not in a huge hurry to switch sides, so it's not very exploitable.

Re: The Book of Star-Lord

I've been away from Heroscape rules for awhile so I'm sorry that this question is probably stupid. But what is to stop Starlord from using his special attack, gaining two more attacks, using his special attack, gaining two more attacks, and repeating this for infinity? Do the extra attacks not stack as you gain them? You can use a special attack more than once right?

“additional times” is basically Heroscape language for not being repeated infinitely. So when it says “2 additional times” it basically means you only get to have those 2 exra attacks with the SA, for a total of 3 attacks with the SA. But with something like the Venoc Vipers and their Frenzy, they don’t have the “additional” wording in there, so there’s no limit; you get to roll to take turns until you don’t roll high enough.

So basically Star-Lord’s options during his attack phase are either to attack with his normal attack or up to 3 times with his special attack.

Thanks so much for the quick reply. Makes sense. My follow up is, why could Starlord attack once with his special attack and then attack with either his normal or special up to two times or any combination of those? It wouldn't need to be only special attacks that follow the first special attack?

A bit of a misunderstanding there. Starlord can choose to attack with his normal attack once OR he could use his special attack up to 3 times. He cannot do a combo of normal then special or anything like that.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I'm still confused though. The special attack text says, attack two more times. It doesn't specify that they need to be two more special attacks. Why couldn't they be normal attacks?
