The votes are 29 - 1 in favour of A_Train, and I'm surprised that Patrick got even that many, heh. (Especially since I accidentally posted a pick that showed that the Airborn not only drop on the first OM, but put 3 wounds on Syvarris).
Let's see if Patrick can turn it around.

As mentioned, Syvarris takes the first hit of the battle.



He responds by taking out one Elite.


But then he fall as Sonlen takes 4 wounds of his own.


Sonlen heals himself a bit, and takes out the 2nd Airborne Elite.


Two more wounds on Sonlen


The Airborne are no more.


Sgt. Drake eases his way into battle, but the Warforged Tactically switch places with him. They fail to wound the sergeant however.


Drake cuts one down.


And another.


But the numbers overwhelm him.




Sonlen is finished.

Army Thoughts
This was only my second time using the warforged, but I like how resilient they are. The Airborne did the bulk of the damage however. I won't be taking this army however, as I've already committed to the Goblins x 4, Krug and Airborne army for the Herocup.

Next match up.

Patrick: Minions x 3 and Kozuke Samurai (his confirmed Herocup army)

A_Train: Mezzodemons x 4, Frost Giant and Sahuagin Raider (My D3 came yesterday )


Comments/ Predictions?



As a side note, I got a private comment on how Patrick must really like Heroscape to keep playing after losing so much. To be fair, the reports tend to paint him in a bad light. He seems to win more when we're not recording. For a long time when he'd come over, we'd play 3 matches but only record 2, and guess who always seemed to win the match that went unrecorded? As well, twice in the past month we've taken starting army pics, but then realized we were halfway through the match without taking any more pics. Patrick won those as well. He also went undefeated just the other night (against both Chazz and myself) with the Army he is taking to the Herocup. So in this match, its Patrick's undefeated army vs my never used units. Does that make it tougher to choose? Probably not, heh....
