If you have a common, you can draft additional copies of that common. So yes, the HYDRA player in this scenario can draft additional HYDRA Agent squads.

Remember also that your opponent cannot draft a card that is in your army, and this extends to commons.

I think you will all really enjoy Island Plane Crash. It is my favorite map right now. Very balanced. As stated, just remember concrete/asphalt offer no bonuses on this map.

IMO, the key thing for the Mr. Fantastic player to do in this draft was plan around Mind Games. There are basically two ways to do this:

1. Draft only units that you are happy to flip an OM on. For example, just draft The Thing and Balder and play 20 points light. She-Hulk and Silver Surfer and eating 55 points isn't that bad either.
2. Draft a figure that protects your OMs. Batman (Dick), Silk Spectre, Commander Rogers, and Sage all fit the bill.

Obviously, I chose route #2. I had my whole draft planned in advance and just had to decide what order to execute it in. (Honestly, though, I think I could have done the order better.)

Deathlok is also huge in this matchup; he's like a souped up Puppet Master against androids. (Looks like I'm the only MrF player who picked him, though.) For the Mad Thinker player, if you see that Deathlok pick coming, it makes sense to draft some non-androids to counter it. weebaer didn't claim to see it coming, but he diversify with Doctor Doom instead of a big android, which should help him out enormously here.

On the subject of non-androids, Ozymandias is a great option for the Mad Thinker player, as Mad Thinker can still use that extra numbered OM for Android Affinity. A savvy Mr. Fantastic player can foil that by drafting Silk Spectre, though. 100 points well-spent to neutralize both Mind Games and The Smartest Man in the World in one fell swoop. Depending on the dynamics of the draft, you could see the MT player trying to hold 200 in reserve until the MrF player has committed to not drafting Silk Spectre, and then deploying Ozy.

So... yeah, complicated. I promise, the other drafts are not as slippery as this one.

Quick question: we're supposed to place figures as soon as we draft them. So in placing the army bases, the person who picks the base should place their figures, then the other player should place theirs before the first draft pick happens?

I totally forgot about the whole 'place immediately' thing. How does that work with Nick Fury? Does that mean I have to declare a figure part of my drop team as soon as I draft them? What about Drax's thing? Does Karat have to pick now?

I think as long as we know they are being set aside for that, it's good. No need to decide now IMO.

My ruling is this.

Helicarrier must be decided during placement. Other optional powers for placement that specifically state so before the game also work this way. Any other powers that must be decided pre game (Drax's nemesis, Lobo's bounty, Zemo's Masters of Evil) do not have to be decided during placement.
