Massive Core - Crowd-Developed Game from Soaring Rhino (CVN)
Craig and Jeff were at GenCon this year. They stopped by the Old Man Event and played a game or two. While they were there, or for people who stopped by their booth, they mentioned this other game they're working on called Massive Core. It is a creative commons game and they want it to be developed by the community.
Craig said he was frustrated by working at Hasbro and not being able to participate on the boards with us. He thinks the Valhalla Customs and C3G projects are really cool and he thought "what if a project like that could be used to make an actual game?" In theory they might someday print and sell the cards for the game, but my understanding is that it will always be free to print and play. I played a game at their booth at GenCon and it is pretty neat. It goes pretty fast. You play your cards on a 7x5 grid and the objective is to attack the middle row (you must be in the row to attack it) to destroy your opponent's core. You should go check it out. This is the website for the discussion board.
