I would like for the Heroes to consider doing something similar to what we did with molten lava rules for extreme falling damage and adapt them to something that better fits the game we play.

In fact, I think you could just completely ape the molten lava rules for this purpose. It's very easy to get to extreme falling once you bring buildings into play, and it just seems silly that falling off a building is insta-death for Superman or Hulk.

I would love to see us simply do this:

Rolling for Extreme Falling damage:

Roll the 20-sided die. Add 3 to the roll if that figure has the Super Strength special power.

If you roll 5 or less, that figure receives four wounds.
If you roll 6-19, that figure receives one wound.
If you roll 20 or higher, that figure has miraculously survived and receives no wounds.

Even non-SS figures in comic books routinely find ways to survive massive falls through all sorts of ridiculous acrobatics, so this seems on theme to me.

Might want to make it match the other falling rules. Right now you roll one unblockable attack die if falling equal to or greater than the figure's height and two unblockable attack dice if falling greater than 10 levels plus the figure's height. Extreme falling is for greater than 20 levels plus the figure's height.

If you did, you need to give an advantage to Superstrength.

Maybe something like...

Extreme Falling (20 levels plus height of figure or more):

If the figure has Superstrength, roll 2 unblockable attack dice. Otherwise, roll 4 unblockable attack dice.

I would just do, Extreme falling as 4 unblockable for figures without Super strength and 3 unblockable for figures with Super strength.

While we have the patient under the knife .... should we consider redefining Extreme Falling? 20 levels plus height of a figure is less than the top of one bookshelf skyscraper for most figures (it's 32 levels tall).

I would consider going 30 + height and making it major falling before then.

But after that I like either suggestion y'all made above and have no strong preference. Maybe slight preference towards quozl's since we're going from 0 wounds for Major Falling to lots of wounds? I do enjoy the thrill of "this COULD kill me" though.

When I posted my version quozl had a d20 roll for figures without SS. I like the 2/4 split on unblockables.

Cool. It has my support. I don't really think it'd need to be tested, either, as I don't think anything we've done is currently balanced around extreme height being as is.

Before we vote on anything, though, do we want to consider altering definitions for major height/extreme height and the related falling damages?
